  1. Hi all 2 questions to those who have received PR (through 187 DE): When are you eligible to apply for Citizenship? Does your grant state if you need to stay with your current employer? If yes, for how long? Thank you
  2. Applied July 2019 and nothing yet.
  3. Maybe at IMMI, but def not at AAT... it's there most of us are stuck. But congrats to you!
  4. Can you tell us what has happened, and who the Agent is? Feel free to private message me if you don't feel like sharing publicly. Thanks and good luck
  5. Sounds good to me, I think you'll be fine good luck
  6. 187 no longer exists either and businesses are still being approved to nominate through AAT so that’s not an issue. it is possible to win based on solely the documents, it’s really decided on a case-by-case basis and how good your paperwork is (and it if fully answers their concerns). How have you demonstrated that your role is not supervisory? Good luck
  7. Is this a new thing? I am pretty sure they used to have around 30 days to finalise your case after being remitted back to them.
  8. I understand. Our timeline is very similar. We also applied in Dec 2017 and the nomination got refused June 2019. We lodged the appeal in July 2019 and have been waiting since. The current processing time are sitting at 30 months for 187 DE, so if they are going to leave us waiting till the end we're looking at January 2022 (one more year) for the file to be just opened (and who knows how long for it to be finalised). You can't do much until they request medical tests again so perhaps spend that time working with your child. She hasn't been officially diagnosed so it might not be as bad as you think. Best of luck in any case.
  9. That's correct, some links on this topic: https://www.sbs.com.au/news/more-than-15-families-a-year-face-deportation-because-of-one-relative-s-disabilities https://www.shglawyers.com.au/how-does-australias-migration-system-deal-with-disability/ https://www.canberratimes.com.au/story/6227767/canberra-family-faces-deportation-because-son-has-autism/ Normally intervention by the Immigration Minister and/or the public (e.g. petitions) can be of huge help. Good luck!
  10. What's your position and reason for refusal? And why was the hearing so long
  11. What position? And how many months in total did you wait at the AAT? Thanks again
  12. Congrats! You mind sharing details as to location, position, refusal reasons and interview (questions, requested supporting docs), etc? Thank you
  13. After how long did you lodge the complaint? Good luck
  14. Fingers crossed. It also appears that the new regional visas the Government introduced are much easier to get, would you say that people who aren't lucky to win at the AAT should have a go at the Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 494)? Especially for offshore applicants (we're currently here but will have to leave if we lose at AAT) and reapply from overseas (due to being on a visa C). Thanks
  15. Agree 100%. Raul, do you happen to know the current processing time at AAT? We appealed IMMI's decision in June 2019 and are wondering when we can expect for the file to open. Thanks
  16. That's great news, best of luck! What documents exactly did they request? Thanks
  17. Very much agreed. How long do they normally allow for the requested documentation be provided? Without the extension period. You'd think financial documents are easily accessible and can quickly be collected.
  18. Congrats! Could you please let us know what they requested in April 2020 and what else in August 2020? Thanks
  19. So how could they go to Federal if they’ve dropped the nomination?
  20. So you are saying you know people with non-genuine application who were refused by both DoHA and AAT? And have now gone to the Federal court? How do you know they are non-genuine? And how do DoHA and AAT know a case is non-genuine before they even open it?
  21. Very similar wait times to my case. Applied for nomination in Dec 2017 and was refused after 18 months. Applied at the AAT in July 2019 and haven’t heard back. Could you please clarify the below- What reason for refusal did IMMI give you? And what sort of documents did AAT request twice? Thanks and good luck.
  22. Hello What was the reason for refusal please? And were you updating the file at all times or just now then they requested documents? Thanks
  23. CO - case officer
  24. Hi Caltex That’s great news! What was the reason for refusal please? And what documentation did they request? Best of luck
  25. You applied at AAT a year after the nomination was refused?
