Do you guys try to contact your MA and ask what is going on?? I called her yesterday and she wasn't in the office, her secretary said that she'll call me back... but nothing. This morning I e-mail her and..... again no answer!! It is so frustrating...??

Thank you for your answer, yes, she wants to apply for the 417 from New Zealand and after fly back to Australia and in the main time keep paying rent and leave all her stuff here...

Hi guys, I create a new topic for us chefs and cooks, so we can share easily our timeline and updates. We applied on the 30 June 2017 as chef, nomination and Visa same day 186 TRT low risk country Till now NO news... I hope something will happened very soon ??????

She arrived in Australia with her husband from Italy two years ago, with a student Visa,because he is from Venezuela and he couldn't apply for a 417. She was studying to became a chef, after she changed idea and she study to became a beauty therapist and she graduated on it. In the main time she has separated from her husband,now ex. After that she renewed her student visa, but will expired in June,so she is thinking to apply for a 417 Visa. The problem is that she can not apply for it onshore, so she il willing to move to New Zealand and wait for her Visa to be approved... The problem will be if her Visa will not be happroved soon, causing all this changes that she made in the past two years. Any advices could be helpful.. Thank you.

Hi, with my personal experience I think that you can apply like cook, chef, pastry chef or pastry cook... For the immigration there are not other different qualifications... But like I said, it is just my personal opinion... If you already have experience like chef, you will apply like chef, if not, you'll need to apply like cook...and of course the minimum salary will change. Ask to your MA to clarify that and let us know. Good luck.??

Thank you, I know that the 457 it is valid for 4 years and after expired, but a few of my friends reapplied with it for another 4 years... Do you think it is possible?? Now I'm not sure with the new rules, but before it is happened..

Hi Guys, my sister in low wants to apply for the 417 Visa. Do you know how long will be the processing time for it, based in your own experiences?? The immi website is showing 15-44 days. Any advice will be very appreciate. thank you ?

Why do you what to change the Visa? If you are under the 457, just keep going with it and try to apply for a 186 or 187 Visa.

I'm so sad for all of you guys who are waiting offshore and for such a long long time. Please, stay strong and think about us... The majority of us are alone, without family. Some people left their wife and kids in their home town meanwhile they are waiting for the Visa. Be positive, I hope we'll have a good news soon!!??

The processing time "SHOULD BE" : 186 DE: 10-15 months 186 TRT: 8-9 months 187 DE : 17-19 months 187 TRT: 9-11 months.
