We have just come back from a visit of 3 weeks on Saturday night. My husband didn't know about a RRV so got a visitor visa attached to his passport. -

Thank you. Unfortunately we left Oz half way through our 5 Year period on a subclass 100 (for my husband) back in May 2014. We are talking of moving back hence the questions for another subclass 100 visa. -
Obtaining previous visa dates (subclass 100).

Hi everyone, When the visa is granted how long is given for it to be activated? Is the 5 Year period of the visa from the date it is granted or the date it is activated? Many thanks in advance.

Hello to you all, Does anyone know how to obtain the dates a previous visa was granted (subclass 100) All we know is the year it was granted and expired. We need this information asap. Thanks kindly Xx

Hi, we would have money from the sale of our UK home which could enable us to be mortgage free in Australia if we found a cheap enough property but would we still need to provide 3 months of statements anyway, I've never bought a house in Oz so totally new to me. Many thanks.

Hello to you all, I have heard recently from someone that it is possible and people have been able to get australian citizenship after 1 year but its not advertised, generally it is adveryised as after 4 years. Has anyone heard of this or know anyone who has managed this? Many thanks. Xx

Thank you for replying. I read the other day the RRV has changed and now is only valid for 1 year instead of 5 if absent from Australia for more than 2 years.
