1. Hi All

@ jon the hat I’m so sorry it’s slow for u to sell .... hope it has picked up over the summer

We are here and it’s been a whirlwind .... sorting Medicare, kindy, rentals etc! Now sat on the bro in laws camping chairs as the crate doesn’t get to port til the 19th then it’s up to customs to clear and send to us!!!!!

We went with PSS in the end ..... they were fab on the UK side and the packers were brilliant ..... will let u know what their onshore agents are like after they have been

Also we went with their insurance as we got a quote from LP which they beat after a bit of back and forth .... hoping we don’t need it tho

I agree a soak in Jayes and a good pressure wash should be enough for the immigration (at least I hope so)

Good luck to everyone packing up .... the rollercoaster doesn’t stop when u get here but it is such a good feeling to be here and know you are on the home stretch to being all settled

xox

2. Lovely area, only a few weeks now [emoji847] I'm excited and were 12 weeks away so I can imagine how you feel. Process seems to take so long and then all of a sudden that's it time to go.
So hard leaving all the family and friends but much easier now to communicate,  Skype - Duo - WhatsApp
How exciting ..... where ru heading
Hey@five yeh super soon .... hope ur more organised than me!!!!!
3. Exciting times Katie your so close now, they've had some rough weather so far this winter and it's only just started [emoji57] even snow where they don't generally get it [emoji33]
Where are you heading Perth ??

No brisbane .... its cold but no snow ... hoping the sun will re-appear before we get there!!!!! Super exciting ..... just cant believe its really here!!!
4. Congrats on the sstc ... we r there too ..... crte on July 1st and fly 2 weeks later..... cant believe we are finally here .... seems like its been forever we have been waiting
@JonTheHat hope you get a bite soon .... is does seem to be moving a bit now .... could u switch agents maybe???

Were sold subject to contracts so all go, my business in process of being sold too, tickets booked for 6th September and container coming 19th August [emoji2957] so much going on it's hard to keep up.... hope you sell soon [emoji37] market seems to be picking up although there's still a lot of uncertainty out there [emoji55]
Fingers crossed for you.
5. We have great photos done by a pro also, and using a normal agent with negotiated fee.  Not sure whether worth it, but there has been a perfectly nice house on Purple Bricks for a year not far away...
Yeh we got the photos done professionally too ... second time round.... they were tonnes better .....
All crossed the market picks up for you soon
6. Hey@LottyC .. congrats on the grant and job offer that's amazing ....
It's so strange isn't it .... all that when will the grant come gets replaced by oh cr@p we actually have to move and the enormity of that.....
Best thing I have ever seen is someone set up a spare room with tape the size of the move cube and they tried to fit what they wanted in the space ... sorry cant be more help ....
Where ru heading???
Congrats again
X

7. We have joined the SSTC crew and once again are crossing all fingers and toes it all goes smoothly ..... @JontheHat hoping it is picking up for you also ....
We spend Friday Jayes fluiding the golf clubs and wellies .... I have never remembered them this clean!!!!! Hopefully it helps my swing!

Jon the Hat Katiebobbles Selling the house has been a nightmare for us too - it’s taken a lot longer than we anticipated! We have now sold stc, so just hoping all goes smoothly [emoji1695] Good luck to both of you
8. Unfortunately no alcohol unless you obtain a permit and pay tax. Really not worth it.
I feel your pain!! We had to part with a large collection too.
our container arrives tomorrow to be packed, I think I’m still in shock as I can’t quite believe the time has eventually come..... then off to Perth next week......
Arghhhhh good luck .... hope it all goes really smooth for you x

10. Thanks @W20 did JM have any advice ... I am hating Jayes fluid ... killing my hands!!!!!!

I’ve got a representative from John Mason coming this morning so I’ll check what he says and let you know. I do get the impression that it’s very hit and miss though on whether they’re happy with the cleanliness or not. I have read that the smell of Jeyes fluid keeps them happy though so fingers crossed. I’ll be getting out the Jeyes fluid too in the next couple of weeks - we’re hoping to ship stuff at the end of April [emoji3]
11. I can join this thread now [emoji1787][emoji1362]
That's great news congrats @Kung-Fu Koala must be a big relief you have been waiting for ages .
@JontheHat we are having the same issue ..... swapping estate agents this week ... fingers crossed ... worst case will have to rent it out ... not ideal but Westminster seem determined to put off those weak stomach buyers who don't want to move in uncertainty ... which seems to be a lot in our area .....
Fingers crossed for us both [emoji1696]

12. Hey all,
So we have finally got sorted .... crate coming July and we are knee deep in Jayes fluid.... anyone any idea how clean is clean .... I.e. if there is a bit of dirt in the groves of a golf club or a tiny bit of grass around a spike of a shoe are we going to get fined??

15. AdStanna thank you so much. I’ve woken up a bit now and read your post properly lol. (I’m a she btw lol!)
Im overwhelmed by the kind words and thoughts from people.
And if Katiebobbles is correct about immi stalkers then here’s a message: I promise to continue to maintain the spreadsheet [emoji4][emoji4]
it is a hideous process and one that has resulted in me not sleeping properly in months.  I mean, in what other setting would you happily hand over thousands of pounds only to be told you can’t question anything, continually moving goalposts s, so have no idea if you’ve just lost £4K?!?!
a good nights sleep in the new apartment on the weekend would be just lovely [emoji4]
this can only be achieved by a visa grant.

Oh no I'm sorry I didn't mean to plant another worry .... but if there are CO stalkers out there ... come on there are only a couple on lonely white cells in that sheet who would love to turn the deepest green!!!!!!
All crossed for tomorrow

16. Oh my days...i can't breath!!!!
Saw Paddsy (huge congratulations to both you and AdStanna btw!) post at the end of my work day and realised that today was the first day in a long time where I haven't reloaded my emails every 5 seconds.
Que opening email whilst preparing for the usual disappointment...both 309 and 100 granted!!!!
I have no more words, I'm just going to sit here and drink the champers that's been in my fridge waiting much more patiently than I have!
CEP please please tell me you got yours too!!!!
Fab news@GemTrae and all those grants today ... come on@CEP wake up and let us know the (all crossed) good news x

17. Thanks. I can't edit my corrections. Do I just add a new one stating the arrests were in the UK? It would be so much easier if you could speak to a human to explain things.
If you have enough uploads I would .... it's such a hard call but trust me you kick urself when you get the RFI.
I guess from their point of view you have declared a speeding conviction or whatever but they can't see it on the police checks so they need to know it didn't happen in Canada where you didn't give a check from .. plus then ur back in the waiting game .... that was the only q we got and if we had given it on the form we could have had a grant not rfi and we would have been granted 2.5months earlier!!!! Good luck x
18. Hey Guys,
I said on my corrections that I had a caution and drunk and disorderly fine but just recevied my police check this morning and it says 'no trace'. Have I shot myself in the foot by telling them about the arrests?
Thanks
Heya@Belfastchild
Quick one from our experience ... we listed my husband had a driving ticket but didn't specify which country. When the police checks came back they had no trace but we got an RFI asking which country it was in (I guess so they know if it's on the police check or not) therefore make sure your declaration on the correction specifies where the convictions were.... hope this helps
I know the waiting is torture but will all be a distant memory soon ... then we all need to start revising for citizenship!!!!!

19. I hate this, I am now starting to question whether we have done everything correctly with the incredibly confusing and opaque immiaccount system.
I was wondering  whether I was supposed to create a new application for the sponsor? Under the applicants upload section it automatically created a section for myself as the sponsor and provided a location for me to upload the 40SP etc. So I assumed that was the correct location for all of my (the sponsors) information.
Doubting myself I have started to read back through the RFI communication and it very clearly states

"The sponsor must create a new ImmiAccount if they do not have one already. Please ensure that once your sponsor has created their ImmiAccount, they select ‘New Application’ and not ‘Import Application’"

I definitely did not do this and hunting for an answer all I can find is conflicting information. Did anyone else just upload into the sponsors section of the main applicants account?
Heya,
I had the same worry. My partner's documents and forms were uploaded in his own section under my application .... however we loaded in June. I am unsure if this changed post the new financial year in July.
Sorry can't be definitive but it sounds like you have done similar to us and we had a grant through last month.
Good luck
