  1. +1 here. Nomination applied: ~8th May More info requested: end of May Visa application: 9th June More info sent back: ~20th June Not a word since...
  2. Hey Tony, I'm afraid it doesn't work based on the processing time on the date of submission. When we submitted our application, the processing time was ~56 days. We're now 6 months in, with no answer yet... The waiting game is a nightmare...!
  3. For sure! It’s frustrating as the processing times keep getting longer. As you get closer, they extend it again. Did you get asked to provide extra information? Or is your application still ‘received’?
  4. Hey Shelley, Still no luck either? I’ve been waiting since May. Apparently ours is held up on the nomination approval, but no timescale...
  5. Not a thing - we’re going a bit spare! How about you?
  6. Global visa processing times 75 per cent of applications processed in 5 months 90 per cent of applications processed in 10 months Last updated 19 September 2017 (for month ending 31 August 2017) Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
  7. No idea around reasoning - all correspondence went through my sponsor. Timescale was approx 1 week.
  8. No idea - they didn't give an ETA on when the checks would be wrapped up, or what the checks were. Guess it's just a waiting game...!
  9. I'm in the same boat - been on the priority queue for ~1week now. I rang them up earlier as there had been no movement, and they said things were progressing with the application. Apparently the case officer is waiting on security checks coming back. My ImmiAccount only shows Application Received as the status, so it's interesting that there is actually stuff going on behind the scenes.
  10. Yeah definitely - I'm from the UK and heading out as a Software Engineer. How about yourself?
  11. Hey Mhson, Our timelines are pretty much the same. Nomination application ~9th May, more information requested end of May and submitted back 2 weeks after. The 457 visa application has just stuck at “Received” since it was submitted. Hope there isn’t too much more of a wait...! Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
  12. Thanks for the info! [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
  13. Hey Jamie! Did you request the priority processing? Or does it have to be the employer?
  14. Brilliant news! Congrats [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz

  17. Looks like they have updated the processing times again... 75% in 4 months 90% in 9 months Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
  18. I doubt it? A credit search isn’t part of the application process... Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz

  21. Hey Frukoz, If you are from the UK, you are entitled to Medicare cover. The crux here is that you can only register for Medicare once you are physically in the country. You can take out insurance from any of the private medical insurance companies. Once you arrive, you need to register with Medicare, and then are free to cancel the policy. If you have worldwide travel insurance, this may also cover you for the initial few weeks until you can register with Medicare. Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
