My husbands company applied 30/11/17. We are still waiting to hear. We came to QLD on a tourist visa and are now on bridging visa a. the only problems incurred was me having to fly home to england for a funeral so i had to get bridging visa b. Husbands work are also paying school fees as you have to pay for public when on a bridging visa.

Hello. i was wondering if anybody can help regarding how much we will be allowed to rent a property for. I read somewhere your salary had to be 40 times the monthly rent! is this true? we are moving into queensland. we could pay 1-2 years in advance if necessary but wondered letting agents stance on how high a property you can rent. over in the uk it is quite strict. also what sort of paperwork will we need to get in order to rent a property, as we don't have an australian credit file? thank you

i heard that i would need a voltage convertor for larger items such as TV, fridge/freezer, however when trying to purchase one i came across something on Tripadvisor stating the voltage is the same in Europe and Australia. Has anyone had any experience? Or know if I need one? Thank you
