Timeline on 309/100 via applied for in London

Sounds likes the most realistic plan. We’ve been living in the uk for 9 years so we’re both ready to get to Australia! We’re looking at the travel exemption but there’s still no guarantee with our flight.- 3,663 replies

Sorry this isn’t a post with any good news but more of a wondering what anyone here are doing about their planned moving date? We planned to go in September to tie in with a wedding and now we’re really not sure what to do. Weighing up whether to stick with September or push back to November time (really want to get there by November so we can sort schools out before the summer hols start). I’m a teacher and have to give my notice in by May 31st so really need to make a decision.- 3,663 replies

Hi with the form 888 the ones filled out in the U.K were done following rules for witnessing a document in the U.K. so a friend had her document witnessed by a friend who is on the occupations list. Hope that makes sense.

I’m assuming your looking at the attach document part of your immi account? We looked through each document heading and then made a list of the things we wanted to attach that were relevant to that document heading.

At the moment it seems they are giving you a year to enter Australia from the date your visa is granted. Applications from the U.K seem to taking around 10-12 months but this could all change given the current world situation.

Hi, I’ve no news on visa grants but I did notice today (on my daily immi check) that processing time has changed to 13-21 months. The fact that have adjusted processing times slightly, gives me hope the department is still moving along albeit slowly.- 3,663 replies

I agree, we’ve not seen any grants here for a couple of weeks. I wonder if when everything’s calms a little it’ll pick up again?- 3,663 replies

I see. Could you be in Australia before the birth - would that give the child automatic citizenship? It might be worth starting a separate post to gain some advice from one of the migration agents on this site?- 3,663 replies

Presumably you or your partner is an Australian citizen and so you would just need to apply for their citizenship once they are born. They wouldn’t need a visa.- 3,663 replies

I had the same thing. I had my medical at Knightsbridge doctors in London and they didn’t need the letter just my passport.

Great, thank you! We’ve done the online application so just making sure everything is uploaded.

Hi, just triple checking all our documents are attached and for my husbands sponsorship part it recommends form 40SP. When I have searched for the 40SP it brings up a different form or takes me to the online application. Can anyone point me in the right direction of Form 40SP?

I’d be tempted to take the offer. As much as they might want/need to move in 6-8 weeks even the simplest of chains can take longer than this. Would it be easy enough to get back on the property ladder should the absolutely worst happen (which seems incredibly unlikely)?- 3,663 replies

Thanks, I’ve not had an RFI for my medical just thought I’d get the ball rolling and hoping for this magic 10 month time frame . Annoyingly my husband has had an email back from afp check stating that his birth certificate is only an extract and not full so we’re trying to get that sorted before it becomes an RFI.- 3,663 replies

There have been some suggestions that sponsors will need to be approved before applicants can apply.

I had my medical on Wednesday and today my immi account is showing this when I click on health assessment. I’m assuming that because it’s through eMedical there is no uploading of documents for me to do?- 3,663 replies

Just wanted to jump on here, add the start of our journey and ask a question. Submitted application on the 6th September. Uploaded all documents necessary apart from form 80 and 1221 (a hectic start to the school year plus sick kids). I’m just working through the forms and I’m wondering if there is an easier way instead of printing them, filling them in, scanning and attaching as documents? Seems like a lot of work for very repetitive questions. TIA- 3,663 replies
