  1. Oops sorry for some reason I’ve re sent my original reply .... btw *other aspects of the applicant* should have read .... other aspects of the application [emoji849]
  2. I think if you are from the UK there seems to be two routes you can take, either fill out the 888’s and make sure you have someone from the ‘professional list’ to witness the signature, colour scans of ID are definitely acceptable, alternatively a typed statement on blank paper and witnessed etc... the migration booklet is definitely out of date since online applications have taken over and there is a lot of conflicting info, I’ve trawled these forums for hours and lots of people’s applications have been accepted using these methods so I shouldn’t worry too much, I think other aspects of the applicant hold more weight, this is just a small part of it, so don’t worry too much, thanks for your kind words, I hope your application runs smoothly and you soon receive good news.
  3. I’m sure it will be will fine, thank you ever so much and enjoy your day.
  4. That is very frustrating, I tried to fill in the applicants application a few weeks ago and the system was down then too, it’s really annoying when you want to make progress, I believe the payments can sometimes take a day to be acknowledged. On a brighter note from what I’ve read on here and other forums the applications are being processed very quickly at the moment providing they are packaged well, so once you have attached everything let’s hope you will have news promptly, chocolate is a great distraction [emoji6]
  5. Hi there, I’ve copied and pasted this info for you. Form 888 Statutory declaration by a supporting witness in relation to a Partner or Prospective Marriage visa application A few of the specified rules realting to NON Australian Declarations for Form 888 If the visa applicant is outside Australia and is unable to have an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident complete this form, any person who knows the applicant and their partner or fiancǸ(e) may also complete this form. If you are not an Australian citizen or permanent resident and you reside outside Australia, your statement cannot be considered a statutory declaration under Australian law, even if it is made using this form or the template provided by the Attorney-General’s Department. However, under policy, your statement should be witnessed or certified according to the legal practices of the country in which you make the statement. Failing that, it should be witnessed by a person whose occupation or qualification is comparable to those Prescribed personslisted below. This person should sign, date and specify their occupation at the bottom of the statement. Prescribed persons include those who are a: Justice of the Peace; medical practitioner; legal practitioner; civil marriage celebrant or registered minister of religion; dentist; nurse; optometrist; pharmacist; physiotherapist; full-time teacher; bank manager or bank officer with 5 or more continuous years of service; postal manager or permanent employee of the Australian Postal Commission with 5 or more continuous years of service; police officer; public servant with 5 or more continuous years of service I’ve actually used form 888 although I’m applying offshore, my friends and family have had their forms witnessed by a doctor, solicitor and teacher....when supplying ID, colour scans of passports have been used, I’ve used the Australian Forum to research lots of information, there’s a few migrant agents and moderators on there that offer good advice, quite a few people have done the same thing without any problem, it may be worthwhile having a look through the forum. 6. You are welcome, that will be great, I’d love to hear your progress, I submit mine at the end of the month, just waiting a couple of stat decs to come in from friends and family, I’ll be relieved once it’s all uploaded, then I can sit back and try relax a little [emoji4]
  7. I totally agree, lots of information is relating to paper applications, whereas most opt for online now, there’s lots of conflicting information, it’s very time consuming researching and it’s not always easy finding the info you need, this is a handy site tho,I also find the Australia Forum very useful, hope all goes well with your application.
  8. Hello there, I believe your partner does his own (sponsor) application, using the TRN of your application as a reference. He can't start his application until yours has been lodged and paid for, it’s all done electronically so no need to upload into your account [emoji2]
  9. In the migration booklet when applying from UK it states 4 each, but I think that’s for a paper application, one each makes sense really, when they can re scan, thanks for your reply ?
  10. I’ve been told only one passport pic per person is necessary when applying online for partner visa, apparently immigration can scan many times off the one, can anyone confirm this, thank you[emoji2]
  11. I knew what you meant [emoji2]
  12. Can anyone confirm that these do not need to be witnessed by a professional from the list, eg solicitors etc and ID can just be colour scanned ? Thank you [emoji2]
  13. She’s definitely in Cairns, a few of her scenes have been on trinity beach, we’ve spent a lot of time there and have recognised a few places.
  14. Thanks for your reply Ali, I’ll do that then I’ve covered myself.
