  1. Hi BacktoOz83, my partner (sponsor) police checks came back quite quickly, in just a week, one UK one Australian, I uploaded on the Friday evening and received grant following Friday. I hope you don’t have to wait too long for everything to come back, it’s a shame you have had so many delays, let’s hope you are on the home straight now.
  2. It’s great to know they are looking at your case, I bet you are pleased [emoji4] I didn’t wait long at all after I submitted the requested information [emoji4] good luck.
  3. I’ve not uploaded anything additional since I applied, I felt I had supplied rather lot at the time I lodged, adding more wouldn’t have really made much difference, we have been in a very long term relationship, I probably bored them stiff with what I’d uploaded [emoji6]
  4. Thank you very much...only by going from what I’ve read on various forums the only medical conditions that cause problems are the ones that will create significant health costs. I think the reason many of us have been thrown into a panic is due to the order in which our applications are being processed, there’s definitely activity on here and I’ve been reading of a few grants on the Australian Forum, it’s a very stressful time waiting when so many of us have so much at stake. Good luck to you and everyone else anxiously waiting [emoji4]
  5. [emoji23] .... on a serious note I really hope you have some good news soon Jon, I know how long you’ve been waiting, it’s very frustrating watching the order in which the visas are being granted, it makes no sense at all, I’m sure you’ll hear soon and everything will fall into place for you.
  6. We are going out to validate in February, not too sure when the permanent move will be, waiting for a few things to come together. It’s great there’s been some recent activity, the wait is the hardest part.
  7. Hi All, exciting news, just had my 309 and 100 granted. Applied 2nd of April, without an agent. Request for sponsors UK and Australian police checks on 9th October, received and uploaded 20th...granted today. I hope this gives some hope to all others still waiting. It’s a relief to have the email and to be able to focus on something else. Fingers crossed you all get your grants soon and you can start making plans for the future....congratulations too to those who have also recently had their grants x [emoji4]
  8. Strangely I just read that on a site called Concept Australia, I’d not heard that before, that’s a new one on me!
  9. Hiya, I applied 2nd of April, I thought I’d included everything but I’ve been asked for an Australian check for my partner (sponsor) and he hasn’t lived there since he was 4, they have also asked for a UK check too, so if you are in a rush and don’t want a delay it might be a good idea to apply[emoji4]
  10. Hi folks, I applied for my 309/100 at the beginning of April and had my first contact in the form of an email at the end of last week asking me for additional info.....despite my partner (sponsor) leaving Oz when he was four, they have requested an Australian police check and and also one from the UK, it’s good to see some activity and I hope others who applied around the same time hear something soon.
  11. I think it refers to paper applications, one photo each I believe is acceptable, they can duplicate the photo’s themselves.
  12. I’m sure we’ll hear well before then, I still think that’s why we were asked to arrange Medicals straight away, they never used to do that, we are all checking obsessively, I agree it’s frustrating but I’m hoping we’ll all have something to celebrate soon (ish) [emoji849]
  13. I’m not very patient at the best of times but this is all-consuming, I can’t remember what I focused on before I applied [emoji848] I think the forecast for you is good again tomorrow, I hope you get to make the most of it before it cools down again.
  14. Hi Laf, that really made me laugh, I’ve been gardening today too, finishing off what I started the other day, no shorts but the wine was present [emoji2] I know I’m not going to see any changes but I still have a little peek, my other half reckons he’s going to change my password, he’ll get no Sunday roast if he does [emoji6]
  15. Hi jicms ... yes the weather is beautiful, we’ve certainly waited a long time for it, I just wish it was a little more regular, I too love the warm evenings, the sunny weather certainly puts a spring in your step, I detest the winter, moving to a warmer sunnier climate is definitely a big pull for me, enjoy your gardening, don’t forget to stop for a few glasses of wine [emoji6]
  16. Sounds lovely Jon, I’ve been gardening this morning, it really is a beautiful day, really lifts your mood too, same again tomorrow [emoji106]
  17. I haven’t seen many updates on UK applications either, I think seeing lots of cases being processed quickly builds your hopes up, I still think that it won’t be long before we hear, the more info we upload and the more organised we are hopefully the easier and quicker the decision will be when they do get round to us [emoji4]
  18. Park or pub lunch sounds lovely, some time in the sun will do us a world of good, I reckon a case officer won’t be too far off now, pointless asking us to do Medicals straight away if it’s going to be months before they look at it, my guess is there’s a bit of a slow down because lots of people have applied noticing the processing times were shorter, hopefully we aren’t too far down the list.
