Hi @Adele145 I feel your pain, I really do. We lodged our 190 to Victoria on 1st Feb and are still waiting.... Our agent said that there are many others in the same position as us. No idea what's happening...

Hiya, no news I'm afraid. Lodged 190 1st Feb. 17 weeks and 2 days of waiting. Contacted agent today for some reassurance and they said many clients are in the same position...it's just a matter of being ridiculously patient!

I have applied for a 190 with state nomination from Victoria under 'Primary School Teacher'. I have 80 points and have been waiting over 16 weeks for a visa grant and still waiting! Since joining these chats and reading other people's details/ experiences, I think it must be occupation related as others who have applied under education or childcare seem to have been waiting a while too. So, I don't think high points are relevant - well, not in my case anyway!

I'd be interested to know if anyone lodged in Feb and is still waiting like me actually... When I finally get the grant I'll put my time line on as I've always found other people's really helpful

I'm not an expert on this by any means but I think you've been given strange advice there. Everything I've read or been told states that potential employers are unlikely to entertain an application from someone who hasn't already had their visa granted. I've applied for a 190 to Victoria and we're currently waiting for our visa grant but while we were waiting, we thought that my husband may as well try to apply for jobs anyway (he's a telecoms technician) and, sure enough, nobody seems interested without a visa grant. He was able to contact potential employers and some would happily give advice but not a job offer. It does, of course, depend on your occupation I guess as some are in much more demand than others. When I applied to Vic as a teacher I had to register with the teaching association there - I guess to show my seriousness (it cost £150 so you wouldn't apply unless serious!). So, maybe your agent is suggesting that you obtain something to show you're serious too?? Not sure... As I said, I'm no expert but hopefully someone else 'in the know' will be more able to help you

Hi all, I applied for a 190 to Victoria on 1st Feb. All docs uploaded by the end of March. Been waiting 16 weeks this Wednesday! Hoping everyday to wake up to the email I want to see!

Last month the DIBP website said 75% of 190 applications processed within 5 months and 90% within 8 months. It was updated 2 days ago and now says 75% of 190 applications processed within 4 months and 90% within 7 months. So, I guess that's a tiny bit of good news! Although ours is approaching 16 weeks so we're about to fall into the 90% category.... Ours is a completely straight forward case too, with no particular 'issues' that might cause delay.

No, I totally understand. The processing delays aren't caused by the agents; they must find it as frustrating as we do! Especially as they are probably hassled constantly for updates by the clients! All the best to you too. I hope you hear something soon

We lodged our 190 app on 1st Feb and were assigned a CO within a couple of weeks who asked for Meds, Police checks and Form 80. That was all complete and uploaded by the end of March but since then, nothing. It is so unpredictable how it all seems to work. I don't understand at all why some are done and dusted within a few weeks and some go on and on for no apparent reason (on none that we're made aware of anyway). Like many of you say, it tries the patience of a saint!

15 weeks so far since the visa application date...

Hi sc333, We lodged our 190 application (with Victoria nomination) on 1st February 2017 and were assigned a CO with a couple of weeks. All docs and info requested were uploaded by the end of March. We've been waiting for 15 weeks so far since the lodge. No idea what's going on but it is frustrating to say the least as there are so many things that we can't do until the visa is granted. Which agent are you using?
