  1. As far as I'm aware there's a Brisbane team and an Adelaide team but which teams sort the rest?
  2. Wow @Paul7. The feeling of relief must be incredible! No more waiting for you... that's it now! I'm so looking forward to that day! Good news for those heading to SA as the Adelaide office are obviously in gear now. I'm heading to Victoria so goodness knows which 'office' deals with me!
  3. Arrrgh! I know it's good news that lots of people seem to be getting grants but why are people from elsewhere in the world getting grants having lodged in June when we lodged so many months before??!
  4. Hi there, The language I have nominated is French. I taught French weekly as part of the KS2 curriculum and also when I covered other teachers during their PPA. I liked teaching it and am quite confident but I certainly am not an expert! I think as long as you can prove that you have followed a particular scheme (LCP in my case) and have delivered sessions regularly to primary aged children then that's acceptable. I did have to write a piece explaining exactly what i'd done and my the head teacher also had to put forward a statement confirming what i'd claimed. So i'd say if you've done something similar then go for it. But we went through an agent which I would recommend. Hope this helps
  5. Ooo, 5 grants today. That's the most in one day since April.
  6. You're in an identical situation to us from what you describe then! Are you nominated by Victoria? I'd imagine you're feeling as unsettled and tormented as we are after all this time of waiting!
  7. I don't fully understand the details of 'allocation dates' and 'priority groups' on the DIBP site but I think it means that all visas lodged on or before 31st July 2017 have now been allocated to a processing team. Unfortunately it doesn't give us any clue as to whether they're actually being processed or not or when the processing will be complete!! Basically all we know is that they've sorted them into 'To Do' piles!! ??
  8. We've gone through an agent so hopefully all is OK. I have contacted them saying that I hoped all was in order and they reassured us that it is so really don't know what's happening..... Everything was submitted then all the CO asked for were meds and PCs and those were all done and uploaded pretty quickly
  9. If mine were granted tomorrow, I'd have been waiting 187 days! All seem to be lower than 100 days!
  10. 12 months I believe So if worst comes to worse I think i'd need to get my medical done again as of 22nd Feb 2018
  11. The waiting is awful! I hope for all of our sakes that someone hears something soon!
  12. Sorry, my dates above make no sense!! I mean we lodged our app on 1st Feb, CO request for meds and police checks on 14th Feb, meds were done and uploaded by us on 22nd Feb
  13. Hi Nelly, unfortunately it is 12 months from your police or medical check - whichever is earlier. I lodged my visa app on the 1st Feb (submitted by us on 22nd February I think) CO requested meds and police checks on 14th so in theory, if I were one of the 90% that has to wait 13 months, through no fault of my own I would have to fork out to get them done again. I can't see immigration changing this rule either annoyingly...
  14. Nope :(. For some reason I was thinking that the beginning of August might bring someone some good news but nay. In theory, if they're processed in a vague order, you'll be first to hear I think Hibert.
  15. You can guarantee that the second you knock it on the head everyone's visas will start coming in! Sod's law! Hang in there... it can't go on forever.... much as it seems like it!
  16. This is what I find frustrating. All the others who lodged their 190 app on the same day as me have been granted. It would be reassuring to at least know why
  17. I've just had a look at the relevant web page and I don't understand what on earth it means!! But I don't think 'priority groups' apply to us, no
  18. Hi Hibert, I know that 'occupation ceilings' don't apply to us but apart from that i'm not sure... There has been mention on various chats that perhaps some people's occupations are in overall higher demand than others so possibly they are prioritised but I don't know for sure if this is the case.
  19. I don't think we're allowed to post links without getting told off! But if you google the borders website and look for 190 processing times it should tell you all you need to know
  20. Same as you I think Nelly. Going out of my mind. We'll be 6 months next week. I'm running out of ways to freak out about it all! Never in a million years thought we'd be waiting 6 months and beyond...
