  1. I'm assuming I'd have heard from my CO by now if there was anything missing after 4 months. Let's hope my 5 months is on track.
  2. From what I can gather they waited. Timeline as follows: Applied - 15/08 Police Check - 11/09 CO Assigned - 09/12 Medical - 09/12 Grant - 16/01 This might be the case where the were waiting and funnily enough their medical request came the same day they had booked and had it done. Either way that was their only contact from a CO.
  3. Have just seen in another forum an August applicant granted in 5 months and a day. Hope for us all.
  4. Glad you called and had some positive news - annoying they couldn't give you more though. Still, at least the ball is rolling.
  5. Had the same from them when I called end of last week - just waiting for the CO to make contact or give us a grant now.
  6. No you're right - it doesn't say anywhere. The call handler did also mention that some applications are being turned around faster and more in line with a 5-9 month wait. These I would assume are straightforward, no issues and no additional requests for information. http://uk.embassy.gov.au/lhlh/immi_processing_times.html
  7. I definitely didn't have to take my pants off for my medical in London - only had to remove my t-shirt. Very strange.
  8. http://uk.embassy.gov.au/lhlh/IMMI_contact.html Should all be on there for you
  9. The 5 months is on the Australian embassy site where as the 10-14 months is quoted on the UK Australian Embassy page. Someone else queried this and was told to go for the wait time from the country of your application. I also called London embassy recently and they said a number of times the average wait is between 10-14 months.
  10. Even though I did call, I might drop them a similar email in a week or two. My circumstances are almost identical to yours - we fly 23/02 - 17/03 and also have a young child with us. I want to activate the visa in Feb as opposed to returning again in September out of ease on us if anything. I see you mention your CO contacting you within a month, was this to request a medical etc? Did you have any other contact?
  11. I found a number on the London Embassy page - you can only call Mon/Fri between 1pm-4pm. The number was 02074203690. I mentioned to the guy on the phone I didnt think I had a CO yet and he corrected me. Gave me her name and said she will probably be in contact soon - obviously soon could be days or weeks right haha. Strange that a few August applicants have had their contact for medicals or even a grant and yet 4 weeks later and we've had no contact.
  12. In a few of the other forums so you may have seen my username around.... I applied 13/09/16 with a front loaded application and am yet to have any contact from a CO. I did call last week to ask if I need to tell them about my holiday to Oz in Feb and they advised at the same time I do actually have a CO named Jennifer. I'm 4 months tomorrow and have seen a few straightforward applications processed in 5 so fingers crossed I get the grant prior to my holiday. PingPoma - What exactly did you send to the Europe centre? Did you have any contact from a CO prior to grant?
