Could you try for 190 visa. You will get an extra 5points. However you will be tied to certain state for 2 years. I had 60points inc ss and got invite from NSW in 2 weeks back in Nov

Prob won't submit for maybe 3 weeks just realised 2 of the kids need new passports so they are just gone off to be done. Will lodge b4 end of Feb definitely anyway. Great news the time has been reduced to 7-9 months. Still feeling a bit surreal today

Lieing in bed thinking about my 190 visa (waiting on reply from NSW any day now about nomination) and have just realised I may have overclaimed time served in oz as electrician. I was in perth for 55months on and off had a period of 6 months in 2012 where I came home. 10 months of this I was unlicensed and was a technically a trades assistant (sept 2010/june2011) in June 2011 i was awarded my WA licence and worked until July 2015 (came back home for 6months so total is 41months) Can't remember what guidelines were back then regarding trade assistant foreign electrician In my EOI I got 10points for Australian experience but have myself down as electrician from Sept 2010 but should have put trades assistant. Right. I still only get 10points regardless of this mistake will I be penalized for bot saying trades assistant. My refs all say general electrician. Really worried now

No idea yet but I'm a midwife so need to be close enough to a hospital hubby is electrician so I assumed he would need to be near CBD. We never been to NSW , lived in perth for a few years but could only get a 190 so will have to go NSW for a few years. We are completely open to anywhere to be honest rental price will be a huge thing for us to be honest but we don't want somewhere run down or older population. Not asking for much really are we. Hope we can go back and settle in Perth once we fulfil our obligation in NSW.

We were waiting with 60 points too since sept so we applied for 190 instead and got pre-invite within 12days in Nov. If that's an option for you. We applied NSW

Hi can anybody recommend suburbs in NSW. Youngish family. Teenagers and a toddler. Must be kind of commuter distance to Sydney CBD maybe 50km ish. One most important to us is price of rentals, schools, family orientated and a shopping complex

In my EOI I put down all educational qualifications. The school leavers exams I did (no relevance to my trade) and my qualification for general electrician. I don't have a copy of my school leavers exam results, lost them.have requested them but takes 10 working days. I have all qualifications and paper work relating to my skill. Will this be an issue does anybody know

Guys quick q. When they ask for educational qualifications do i need to attach my school leavers cert or just my electrician qualification? I put my school leavers results on EOI but clearly didn't get points for that part

Submitted 190 visa with 60 points general electrician yesterday. Hoping to get an invite soon. Long story short I overclaimed work experience in 189 so only have 55 points so 190 is my only option until Feb 18. Keeping everything crossed I'm as lucky as u Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

At the min I have 55 for 189 visa and 60 for 190. I'm hopeful for 189 invite once ceiling in pro rata occupation has been reached maybe then I stand a chance. Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app

Good luck with it all. Maybe wait a month for 189 possibly you will have 60 days to submit 190 application. Fingers crossed I would love 190 invite before Xmas. As unfortunately my 189 is suspended until Feb now because I didn't want to overclaim points so rather than move my DOE by 2months I will u suspend in Feb when I really have 60 points Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app

This has just thrown as massive spanner in the works for me. I have wife and 4 kids to add to my visa so can't really afford to mess this up. It's financially costly if I make a mistake while applying and one I can't make. We just couldn't pay the fees for an agent either as we are a straight forward case. I even have the western Australia electrician licence already. For NSW state sponsorship regardless if I get an invite my overseas employment has no points awarded as I'm under 3years anyway so hopefully that saves me and I get an invite that way. No I did not know this and nobody has told me anything about first year as qualified electrician would be discounted, as I completed 4years apprenticeship? This is the first time i have EVER heard this even thru all my research into 189 visa. Perhaps it is different depending on profession? As I understand it from dibp website time counted is from when u qualify but I do know in other professions this is not the case I actually am only 4months short 3 years so have suspended my EOI until February and I applied 190 NSW with 55points plus 5points Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app

Positive skills assessment. I had no issue at all with future skills. as I was in Perth for 5 years and hold a A grade electrician licence already. If i can't claim for these 8months i will lose 5 points and not be eligible for 189 Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
