  1. Well done how long from when you lodged your visa to visa grant? Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  2. It's funny isn't it when your fluent in English and come from an English speaking country that you cant pass an english exam. He said it went ok but paets were tricky and in the listening he could feel himself daydreaming? Thankfully I don't need to do the test? Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  3. My partner sat the IELTS on Saturday. Second time to sit it. He missed out first time by .5 in reading. If he doesn't score a 7 this time were gonna go PTE. The 13 days wait is painful, would rather know so we can go ahead and book another test. Am I right that PTE results are avail within 24hours? Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  4. Thank u Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  5. I just realised a company I worked for in the past trade under a different name for tax purposes. So if u understand what I'm saying that on my CV and in the industry they are known as one name but on my tax return form from the tax office they trade under a different name. I'm not claiming points for this employment but just concerned It will be construed as misleading/lying? Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  6. I didn't think you had to certify all documents once it was a high quality scanned copy Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

Apologies I read your original post wrong Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  8. Sorry don't know what my Google maps was doing earlier. Your right it is only 30 mins however flights are ridiculous for the day in need. Gatwick seems to be just over an hour on the train and it's less that €100 return. Think I'll go with that option. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  9. Yes I am travelling from dublin for the skills assessment. I did that. Heathrow is approx 3 1/2 hours. Was just wondering anybody familiar with the area could give me a heads up. Only ever been to London once Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  10. Hi guys does anybody know which airport is closest to the downunder centre. Will be travelling over for practical in a few weeks and need to book flights. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  11. No advise but do come back and let us know how it goes. Have just submitted my paper application to future skills.hoping to do practical in march. How long did it take for u to get past the paper stage? Oh and good luck Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  12. Lucky you. We haven't even put in our EOI. However I'm gathering everything now to have decision ready. Only at skills assessment stage. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  13. No she doesn't need to provide anything other than her id, english,PCC and medicals. Forms 80 and 1221 are not always asked for however we filled ours out anyway and plan to upload when the time comes Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  14. No worries. We're all in the same boat! Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

  16. Got a handbook about the theory and practical emailed to me from the downunder centre to look over. Pm me your email address il forward it to Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  17. We've gone with a company in London called the downunder centre. The girl nikki has been amazing they literally arrange everything for u and has given us a time frame of 7 weeks. I got quoted $690 for first stage and $1575 for practical stage. It's not cheap by any means. Hoping to do practical in London in march. Won't have my papers assessed on time for the feb date. These guys have practicals every month too. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  18. We're just at the begining of our visa. Currently in process if skills assessment Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  19. Thank u. You have been a wealth of info over the past few weeks richard. We're gonna send emails and call every second day for the next 2 weeks see if we get anywhere. One or two have come since I posted so maybe just takes time and we're impatient Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  20. Hi guys. Would appreciate some answers as I am scared now we won't qualify for the criteria for lack of evidence. Hubby has 10years experience. 4 yrs 8 months in oz so can only claim 3years. And he has 5years experience here, however because of lack of evidence we are scared to claim the full 5years so are going to claim points for 3. Just to be safe. I have queries relating to evidence to provide. We have reference from his jobs going back 10years only 1 of the companies has given us a ref that had the layout required listing duties tools role etc. We have 2 other references from old companies (just general refs. How long he worked there etc his roles and how great he was?) these refs were not for visa purposes but we're provided when he left the companies. We have requested more in depth letters but it has been a good few years since he worked for them. We feel like these refs will break our chances of a visa. Our evidence goes back to 2010 so far we have: Tax record from revenue (2007-2016) Payslips (4 per year only from 2010) Bank statements (only since 2015) Detailed ref from employer (2007-2009) General ref from employer (2010 - 2012) " " " " " (2012-2015) Employment declaration from current employer (July 2016-present) We have obvs asked for letters and wage certs from other employers but no answers from them. We're starting to worry. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  21. We have just started ourselves. Hubby is electrician. Skills assessment and gathering 10years worth of evidence is by far the hardest part for us. We nearly have everything together just waiting on a few things from old employers and tax office etc. Once we have all that it's pretty much just a case of lodging it. We used the downunder centre for skills assessment. Cost £250 and they check documents and arrange your skills assessment. We are going to apply for visa ourselves as with a family of 6 the visa itself is nearly $10k without fees for agent Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  22. How much savings would u bring to get set up? Family of 6. 2 adults 4kids Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  23. I've just been pointed in the direction of the downunder centre. They will act as my agent for the skills assessment for £250. I'm gonna go with them as I really don't have a clue. Afraid to F it up and delay months Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  24. Another Q. How and when do I apply for the practical assessment? I'm assuming I will have to get to uk to do that as doesn't seem to be any dates online for anywhere other than UK/SA Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  25. Yes I'm qualified 10years. u could easily shoot yourself in the foot with all this!!!! Nothing is straight forward. Il apply on vetassess, pathway 2. At least it can all be done online, TRA were saying paper form ONLY! Doing if from Ireland would of slowed things down a whole lot. Cheers for your input lads.
