  1. Right I see. Ok well I'm on the vetassess website now. There are 2 pathways. I hold an australian electrical A grade licence (did it in 2011) do I apply via pathway 2? Soz for all questions. Really haven't a clue Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  2. This is what I was applying for. Vetassess website confused me. Couldn't figure it out. TRA seems very straight forward. http://tradesrecognitionaustralia.gov.au/Programs/Migration/Pages/default.aspx Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  3. I'm actually in ireland. Arrrggghhhh seriously? I was just going via the links on the dipb website. Directs me to TRA website where there is a form to lodge a migrating skills assessment. Il post links now Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  4. That's a balls really isn't it. I had read online 60 working days?? I have everything except videos/photos of work. Wasn't going to include that. However I might just go take some pics in work today. Cover my ass. Will TRA communicate via email if they need anything else? It says online to submit in paper format. Sure that alone takes weeks to get oz Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  5. Cheers for your input anyway mate. Can I ask what supporting doc's did u send for your skill assessment. 6month seems very long was there an issue with your application. I'm going thru TRA Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  6. I've already paid and committed to the ielts in feb, however if I don't get 7 or 8 in all catagories this time il have a look at PTE. Cheers for the heads up. It's a minefield really isn't it. We will wait it out sure. We're not planning on going til march/April 18 anyway but still anxious to get the ball rolling Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  7. I would only be paying surely once I get an invite to apply for a visa, no? I am not using an agent as their fees are astronomical. Just Googled there and a few websites are saying you have to have your skills assessment completed before lodging an EOI? Was just wondering if anybody on here has been thru it. 8. Hi guys. I'm at the very begining here so any advice is welcome. I have a wife and 4 kids, I'm 36 (37 this year) I score 55 based on this so il be sitting ielts exam on 11th feb (next avail date madness) I got a 6.5 in reading so didn't get enough to get the extra points to take me to 60 points to qualify for visa. I'm preparing this time but last time I just went in with the attitude that I'm fluent il pass which ofcourse came back to bite me in the ass. I'm also in the process of gathering info to get my skills assessed. Hoping to post it off in the next week as I know this can take 3/4 months to come back. If I pass the ielts test can I put in a EOI before my skills assessment comes back or do I need to wait for it to come back. As this will bring us to may/June which just seems so far away to put in an EOI and then have to wait for an invite to apply. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  9. Thank u. I was confused as I thought I read somewhere it could be done prior to lodging a visa now Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  10. I understand that but I am just confused which one to submit. MSA or OSAP. I meet criteria for both. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  11. Hi guys quick Q. In the process of gathering info to apply for 189. I'm 37 and have 60points. I did 4 years on a 457 (wife n 3kids too) but Im now back in Ireland 2years and with a wife n 4kids. (Had another baby 6month ago) We want to go permanently now on 189. We had no intention of going back to Oz however we loved the lifestyle and miss the way of life. I'm an electrician. My Q is. When is right time to do health declaration. It says before you lodge visa application. Should we do it when we put in our EOI? Or wait to be invited to apply? How does it work as I know this is only a new thing. Is there a chance we might not need medical examination at all? Just don't want to do health declaration and for it to run out. TIA Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  12. Hi sorry to hijack I have a query regarding the skills assessment. I am a qualified electrician from Ireland with 10years experience. I have been to Oz on 457 and have australian A grade licence also. I've emailed TRA as I am also confused which skills assessment to apply for. MSA or OSAP? I thought it was MSA if it was just for migration purposes. It's quite expensive so don't want to go about it wrong on have to do it twice and slow down my application.
