  1. No agent I'm doing myself Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  2. I have applied my EOI but think I may have encountered a problem. I 'officially' qualified in July 2008 as general electrician as I failed one of my exams. I was working as an electrician before this for a company and they have supplied me with a reference staring employed as general electrician 2007-2009. I sat my final exam in may 2008 and received my qualification then. In my EOI I claimed points for 2007-2009 As general electrician but clearly my cert says qualified July 2008. Should I modify my EOI for this reason or not. I'm not sure what I should do Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  3. No 60 point invited Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  4. 189 visa Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  5. Same as myself have all documents since skills assessment and have been keeping bank states and payslips since then so will just need police clearance and health dec once invited. That's IF and WHEN the invite comes Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  6. That's tough woody, fingers crossed u get an invite soon, nobody could of predicted this shitty situation with the invites since july Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  7. That's great, you should definitely get an invite once you get 65points Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  8. My wife is in the middle of a degree at uni so we won't be going anywhere for another few years however I'm 38 next year so we want to get the visa so as soon as she qualifies we can go! Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  9. Very frustrating I completely underestimated this happening I assumed an invite would be imminent a few weeks after EOI, wouldn't mind but I have everything ready to go since April was just saving a few quid as it's costing $10000 as I have parter and 4 kids. Sorry I didn't apply before July. Worst case scenario I think once ceiling is reached for pro rata we should get invited but that's gonna be march/April next year Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  10. Waiting on invite with 60points non pro rata occupation. It's impossible to say when this will happen but does anybody have any idea??? Date of effect is 30/08/17 Occupation general electrician Very frustrating waiting on an invite plus our ceiling is 9k for this year and only a few been invited so far Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  11. For the first few rounds they were basically treating all occupation pro rata. This was by default as they had significantly dropped the amount of invites from 2000 to 1000. Next round is back up at 1750 so I imagine over the next few weeks invites for non pro rata should return to normal and we should see invites sooner rather than later as was first suggested. 12. Yes I just seen that. Panic station might be over [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16] Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  13. Slowed down completely from what I've been reading. Not looking good for me at all. 60 points electrician Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  14. They have only been inviting 1000 the last few rounds so this is where the issue mainly lies as the pro rata occupations with high points get there first. However they will reach their ceiling fast at this rate and sooner or later lower points will have to get invites but the back log of 65's will then be priority and I believe they have no invites since doe early March so again long delays. I am General electrician ceiling is 9000+ only 2 invites so far. Extremely frustrating. We have 60 points but with 10 points for English. Could go again with the hope of a higher score but sat it 3 times and didn't get score for other 2times so think it will be a waste of money to go again and again in the hope of improving when i don't think it's possible for me to improve my score by what is needed. I'm Irish by the way [emoji23][emoji23] clearly my english isn't great Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  15. I was too basically from what I have been reading up on the trend since July is that only 70+ points were being invited with pro-rata eating up most of the invites as the ceiling has been lowered to 1000 per round as opposed to 2000 per round last financial year this obvs has an effect on non pro rata occupations as we are not in as many numbers and lower points generally so not getting invites. I have been led to believe this was due to pro rata occupations reaching ceiling early last year and creating long back log of 70+ points. Keeping an eye on next invite that 65+ may have a chance but again a back log is being created. It doesn't make sense the way things are being operated at the moment and one can only hope the ceiling of invites per round is restored to 2000 to allow us 60pointers a chance Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  16. I was reading on another forum that some people predict the 60points might not even get an invite even if not on the list of pro-rata occupations. I am 60 points General electrician so am feeling deflated at the prospects of an invite. Surely the invites have to increase to include lower points of non pro-rata occupations otherwise system seemsvery unfair this year Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  17. General electrician EOI lodged 28th Aug, I believe things have slowed down again and were in for a bit of a wait for even an invite never mind the 189 visa itself. It has taken us 8months to even get this far. Anybody else? Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app
  18. Back at this after a few months break. Finally Lodged EOI this morning, waiting game now for an invite? Anyone else? Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app

  20. Positive skills assessment today!!!! Yay!!! Just need this pte-a. Doing sample questions lastnight, didn't go well. Reading is the downfall. Other areas are ok and score ok Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  21. My partner didn't get the reading either, he got a 6?? time before that was a 6.5. All other sections he got 7.5, 8 and 9 in speaking. He is signed up to do the pte-a test on 6th march in the hope this is a bit easier. Gonna sit down and do the mock test tonight see how he scores. He's talking about giving up if he doesn't get the points this time!!!! Couldn't sleep lastnight thinking about it. Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  22. It can take approx 12weeks. Hubby is electrician sent off stage 2, (assessment of qualifications and experience) to future skills 3 weeks ago,was told this part can take up to 7/8 weeks then it's practical and technical interview. It's a long drawn out process to begin with as u need to gather all info however once u have it together it's basically the same paperwork u submit for visa application so 2 birds one stone Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  23. Sorry to jump in guys but for those of you who are offshore and applied for australian pcc did u include every single address you lived at both in oz and abroad or just the address in oz and address of shore for pcc to be posted to? Confused what addresses to put on application form as it says all addresses Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
  24. Hi. On the application form it asks for previous address. I have lived at numerous addresses in the past 10years do I put them all on the AFP form? I only had one address in australia so I know I have to put that down and my current address for posting but are my other addresses relevent? Appreciate any insight/help & advise. Thanks Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
