  1. Hi all I know this might be a bit early to ask but I just want to ask some questions in regards with the 491 Visa I just graduated as a RN in regional QLD in the end of 2019 and I will be commencing my graduate program as a Registered Nurse at a local hospital in regional QLD. However, my employment contract is only part time (about 24 hours a week) which does not meet the BSMQ 491 visa requirement of 35 hours a week for 3 months. In saying so I have spoke to the managers at work and I could work for up to 36 hours a week depending on availability. My question is does the 3 months of full time requirement require of 3 months of continuous full time work? or do I only need to have 3 months worth of full time work (e.g. April, July, November) Also any other tips on applying for 491? I noticed they are open for EOI most the time compare to 190? Thanks in advance
  2. Hey Guys! I'm an offshore Registered Nurse (254415), applied for 190 VIC with EOI date-9/8/2019 at 85 points (Including SS points). I have been waiting for a pre-invite from VIC since a very long time. Not sure, at what points and when VIC sends out invitations. I don't have any employment offer letter from VIC and I guess, you actually don't need this if applying from offshore. Please correct me if i'm wrong. I was wondering if there is anyone in a similar boat? Any comments/feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

  5. Hi guys, Do I need to take the IELTS exam even though I already have a registration with AHPRA as RN to lodge 457 visa? It seems like the immigration change there rule about providing evidence of English proficiency on an applicant with rego (I hope not):arghh::arghh:. Anyone who are expert in this, please I need help. Thanks.
  6. I am a British registered nurse planning to apply for the subclass 190 visa permanent residence visa. I am registered with AHPRA and will have 60 points if I get state nomination. I have a few questions. Could someone help? 1. Can I apply myself or do I need to apply through a migration agent. Is it difficult to do by myself? 2. Should I get ANMAC (special) assessment first and then state nomination before I apply for EOI or am I supposed to apply for state nomination and EOI together. 3. What is the time frame to apply once invited for application. I need to know as I work full time in case I apply myself I need to plan the time. 4. Is form 1276 the identical to the online application form e-visa form 1393? And am I supposed to submit health and character documents along with the e-visa application. 5. There is any e-book,guide or book which could help in applying for the visa?
  7. Hi. I just got my Australian Registration as a nurse and am planning to apply for 189 visa. As part of the requirements, I already have requested for a professional reference from my previous manager, to be able to apply for ANMAC skills assessment. I sent her the example on the ANMAC website but she did not seem to know what to do. Could someone be so kind to send me some examples of their professional references, I would greatly appreciate it. I just need additional basis for her to be able to pick up and start on. Thank you!
  8. I will be starting work as a registered mental health nurse on an acute ward, I am bit worried about what my role will be and how different it will be to now in the UK. What do the enrolled or endorsed nurses do? I've heard they can give meds, so how are they different from registered nurses? I know the qualifications are different but what is the actual difference in practice? Is there an equivalent to nursing assistants/support workers? And who takes charge of the ward? Ive heard someone above registered nurses do this??? In my current job I do it all the time and I am usually the only registered nurse on shift or just one other RMN, will I have less responsibility in sydney? Thanks for any info, I have no idea what to expect, keep reading different things or out of date info on other sites.
  9. I registered with AHPRA back in 07 and did my IELTs back then (now expired). I'm now in Canada and want to apply for my 457 visa - got a job offer! Do I still need an IELTS result for my 457 visa application?? From http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skilled-workers/changes-eng-req.htm "If your nominated occupation requires a higher level of English (equivalent to IELTS test score of more than 5 in each of the four test components) because it forms part of that occupation’s registration, licensing or membership requirement, the visa applicant must have at least the standard of English language proficiency required for the grant of that registration, licence or membership." Since I already have AHPRA registration as I've been renewing it, do I still need to sit the IELTS test and get 7 in each component because it forms "part of the occupation's registration requirement"? Thanks! So confused.
