  1. Congratulations! Your child is connected to your citizenship application and is not required to fulfill the residency requirement for citizenship. If at least one of the parents is a permanent resident and the child is born in Australia, the child is automatically an Australian citizen. Hope this helps.
  2. Got a text message from the immigration office in Adelaide that we can personally pick up the certificate on Monday. If not, they will post it by mid September.
  3. @rammygirl We had our citizenship ceremony last 28th August and still waiting for the certificate.

  6. @SUPERSTARDJ01 You can apply online through this website https://www.ato.gov.au/Individuals/Tax-file-number/Apply-for-a-TFN/. You need to be onshore and have an Australian address to be able to apply. They will mail your TFN after approximately 28 days. This is based on my experience when I applied 4 years ago. You can refer to the website if there are any changes.
  7. @Zet01 I only reviewed the testable part of the booklet (3 chapters). Its not that long. I think you will be able to finish it in 2 hours max. Then you can take the sample test online. Good luck!
  8. @Mavi I am not available on the original test date so I went online and have it changed. The dates available before 8 June were 30 April and 7 June (i am not available on this date as well), so i chose 30 April.

  10. Hi. I think you should try to contact a migration agent that is knowledgeable about health waivers. I applied for trt 186 visa May of last year. We engaged the services of George Lombard because we thought we might need a health waiver due to my wife's condition. In the end we do not need the health waiver and was granted the visa. My wife has spina bifida. George and his staff are very thorough in the preparation of the waiver. Though we did not use it, we were prepared in case the CO will require it to be submitted. I hope this helps.
  11. Hi. Yes, Adelaide is a designated regional area for the purpose of 489 visa. Good luck.
  12. I did not submit a proof for private medical cover to the CO. I think it is because we are eligible for medicare once we lodge our application for PR.
  13. Hi Ad85, They did not contact me after the visa application. It was a straight grant.
