  1. Yes I hope so before Christmas! We've started getting our cats ready, we have the blood test this week so hoping they will pass and then hoping to leave the UK as soon as they can fly (about May) *fingers crossed!*
  2. We applied on the 23rd June, Uploaded all the medicals and police checks on the 17th Sept, so just a waiting game for us now too. I'm very tempted to email them but I'm trying to trust that we are in the queue!
  3. Hurray! Our case officer has contacted us, the ball is rolling.. a lot quicker than I anticipated too.. We applied on the 23/6/16 and been contacted 21/7/16 .. just a month! I was expecting at least 2 months!
  4. Thanks for sharing your stories. Yes, I do wonder about emergency situations and what we would do as we would have no family there what so ever. OH and I are pretty self sufficient but its just those tricky times that I do wonder how people manage it. I guess like some of you have said, you just get on with it! I think if we were in the situation of having another baby possibly hiring a doula might be an option for us. Or maybe I could convince my MIL to fly over here for a couple months too to help us with babysitting the older kids during that newborn phase.. ?!! Just goes to show though how important community can be and to start building one once one relocates.
  5. Hello! A question for families with young children, how do you find it living without family near by to help? what have you been doing for baby sitting? Have you found it much harder? would love to hear other people's experiences parenting young kids without family support.
  6. That definitely an increase of about £465 pounds.. We paid £3390 + the credit card fee just last week.
  7. I can only assume so... yes I was very confused by it after hearing other people had no docs certified and some saying they only certified some docs... Well the guy at the Europe service centre said no need to certify any.. I've uploaded all my docs now, so here goes!
  8. Thanks everyone for your replies. I called the Europe service centre this afternoon and thought I would share what they told me incase anyone else would like to know. He said that if uploading online there is NO need to certify any of the documents. The friends and family statements don't need to be witnessed just signed with a copy of their ID. The relationship history statement only needs to be signed and dated by the author. Phew, a lot easier than expected! Hope this helps anyone else needing clarification... Always worth giving the centre a call though to put your mind at ease
  9. Feel your pain... I could of written this myself except I live in the South West in the UK and would of probably said: "Cold and wet is not my friend thats true, but rainy weather, no beach means on those cold days its just spent inside in shopping centres and it's so depressing!" .. its true... i literally spend most days at the mall as its the only place to go when its wet and in Bristol we get a fair bit of wet. its hard when its not what you are used to, I am from Australia and I think my body is used to a certain amount of sunlight and the UK has been so bad for my mood!
  10. Interesting you say that , we have been married for 5 years and have 2 small children.. I wonder if we will also need have those statements from friends/family witnessed too? Also, does our personal relationship history statements need to be witnessed? thanks!
  11. Just clarifying.. Is that your witness statements and passports that were certified?
  12. Hi all, Hoping someone could shed some light on the document certification for online applications via immiaccount... We are submitting spouse online via my immi account. I get the impression only passport, birth certificates and marriage certificates need to be certified and then scanned into the computer to be uploaded onto immi and the rest can just be the original scans. Is assumptions correct? OR can ALL documents be loaded up as originals if in colour scans? Thanks in advance!
  13. I'm not sure which section it is as I am doing it online on immi. its the section that says "[h=3]Relationship details[/h] In the following questions, details of the relationship between the applicant and sponsor must be provided and should form the basis of the applicant's claim that their relationship with their sponsor is genuine and continuing. The information provided also needs to be supported by relevant evidence. This evidence may be such things as photographs, receipts, bills, legal documents or anything else to demonstrate the nature of the relationship the applicant has with their sponsor. This evidence can be uploaded after the submission of this application." There is 4 text boxes to fill in under the headings "financial aspects;• the nature of the household;• social context of the relationship; and• the nature of your commitment to each other." So I realise now that I need to write my own bits in the boxes, but I looks like I also in addition need to write a statutory declaration on paper that outline the same things too.... is this correct?
  14. Hi all I'm just trying to fill out the sponsorship side of the visa and i was wondering if it was ok to have identical details about our relationship from the applicants form? My husband and I both filled out our relationship history together on his form so there isn't much different to say on the sponsor one. Hope someone can help! thanks
  15. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone knows if they will hike the price again this July 2016 for the partner 309/100 visa? thanks!
