  1. Thanks and hope so. Do you know if working days at Australian High Commission Islamabad are from Monday to Thursday?
  2. Hi Talexpat, Yes, it has been about 45 days, the case is with SCO for the decision. I was advised that cases are decided on DOL basis. I hope that the grant will be anytime soon. Any idea what dates are getting grants these days? The online apps not the paper ones.
  3. You might get interviewed but who knows. People have gotten grants in 5 months and it can be the case in 2 weeks you get the golden email.
  4. You probably won't have to meet the CO. Yes, once the CO interviews you, the process is faster. Many people get the grant in 2-3 months after the interview, some even in weeks.
  5. Relax. It has not even been 6 months for you. CO n interview is near the end stage. Probably if we didturb AHC less, they can concentrate better on case progression. Many people get interview call after 8 months. You will be fine, God willing. Good luck
  6. There is always a good reason in the bigger picture and insha'Allah, there will be something better hidden for you than the Australian Dream. I wish you good luck with your future procedures and I am sure you will get something far better.
  7. Don't worry - I waited 7 months and I know people who waited more than 8+ months for interview. chill
  8. Alikhan, Did you ask them if they have sent the case for final decision to Oz Decision maker? What status does it show in front of your name in Immi? (Not your Mrs, or I mean, what status does it show in front of sponsor) good luck
  9. Just email and phone is fine I wish you do not ever have to visit in person, as they only call people in person when the interview doesn't go well on phone. Good luck I usually email; so that I and them have a written record of contact/chase. I then also called them to get immediate response. You might have to wait 10-15 minutes in queue on the call, however it is still faster than email; for which sometimes they reply after 5-6 days.
  10. Guys who applied in March 2016, just relax. If you haven't been contacted, do not worry. In our case, the interview happened after about 7 months, with no prior contact of any sort except an auto generated email. I have seen for some cases interviews happening ever after 8 months. Don't think too much, keep 9-12 months timeline in your mind, especially female applicants. For now, just relax, chill and enjoy your life while you wait Sooner or later, you will be with your partner for a long journey ahead.
  11. Brother ask them as to where your application currently is; as in - are they still assessing at AHC Isb or has it been sent to Australia?
  12. This is too long, I hope you get the decision soon. Did AHC Isb say anything about the application as to what stage is it in? Or has it been referred to Australian Decision maker for the final review?
  13. Hi, Does anyone know what does approved status means in terms of sponsor? My partner's status is showing as in progress while mine (the sponsor's) status shows as approved. What significance it has in terms of application? Please see the link for the snip
  14. Hi, My Mrs was advised about 4 days back after her interview that the file (online) prepared was good and her case will be sent to the Australian decision maker. I also confirmed via email with AHC that the case has been sent for final decision. However, I know when I uploaded her PCC from Islamabad Police in Dec 2015, it had validity of only 3 months. I never got it made again, since expiry is so soon so there is no point in uploading it again and see it getting expired. How come the AHC Isb CO never requested the PCC and sent the case for final decision?
  15. Hopefully you should get within 9 months, just dont rush for the interview ever. Make sure you, yours Mrs, your in laws and your mrs' in laws are all on same page as anyone can be interviewed. Basic thing is, Mrs' should read application closely and answers should match what is in the application. Good luck
  16. Thanks Talex, insha'Allah May I please ask how do you expect 1.5 weeks for the grant?
  17. In Immi, next to my name as a sponsor, I can see status saying as "Approved". Whereas next to my Mrs' name, it says Assessment in progress. Do you know if approved has been there since start, I am not sure if it was there before? My Mrs recently had interview and they requested one document which I provided the same day. The AHC ISB CO had said he will send for final decision after receiving the document. So If you can kindly advise what does approved mean and if it is a good omen? Many Thanks
  18. Hi Does anyone know that when case goes for final decision after interview, does the status on Immi change? Currently it shows as Assessment under progress; does it change to some other narrative? Thanks.
  19. Today My Mrs had the interview. DOL 30 Nov 2015. The interview went for 40 minutes. Qs asked mainly revolved around : - How your relationship started - Who asked for your consent? - When did marriage take place? - Where do you live? - Who else lives in the house? - How does your husband support you financially? - Has he sent you any gifts? - How do you make sure your relationship stays strong? - What are few things which make your husband angry?
  20. Probably wait till July 16 to see some movement, as User Name mentioned they might have hit the quota.
  21. Are there quotas o spouse visas like there are on general skilled migration? Have you had the interview? I am waiting since Nov 15
