    Hi Zelda,

Did you ring on that number of grievance which I gave you?

Yes - we were just told they were busy and we had to wait.  Also submitted a written formal complaint at the end of April and was told that we would have response within 10 working days - we heard nothing!  Another phone call  to follow that up gave us the same response - you just have to wait!!?

Still waiting very impatiently. No request for 2nd VAC, despite the previous email from immi telling us the amount that would be requested and that we would have 28 days to pay etc... thank you for your patience. How about all the others from March 2015 - Mikenc Pertenhall?? Anything?

No, nothing here.  22 weeks since our AoS paperwork was submitted and still waiting for contact by Centrelink.  Already used up 5 months of our 12 month validity for police checks and medicals and nothing even remotely in sight.

No, our daughter went into her local Centrelink office early in the morning and it took her about 20 mins or so with the clerk. We were surprised at how smoothly it all went.

My goodness, that is amazing.  We really don't know what to do - it is 21 weeks today since our daughter submitted the paperwork and we just keep being told that it is on the system and we just have to wait.  How long we have to wait is the burning question!

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    -          AOS. Please provide a copy of the AOS Acceptance Letter via email once you receive it from Centrelink. We are aware the current processing time for AOS by Centrelink is up to 12 weeks and have extended your application for this duration.

Up to 12 weeks????  That is very interesting.  We are now over 20 weeks and are still waiting to hear something.  We have been quoted 8 weeks and 18 weeks by Centrelink and have exceeded both of these.  We are at a complete loss as to what to do next.  Is there anyone else out there who has been waiting this long?

My AoS form was lodged in December and just got the phone interview today.

They asked me to submit a document declaring that I'm the sole assurer. The same thing is requested from my sister who is another assurer. Is it normal?

Note: this is a 2 assurers for 3 applicants situation

Could you put you dates on your signature line so we can see your progress please.  If you go into your account settings and then click on signature - you can then put all your dates in.

    Not yet Zaki

    Thanks for thinking of me.

It appears that PVC has almost reached the ceiling of places for 2017-2018 FY. If I am lucky I could have a 2nd PVC payment request in the next weeks and may wait to be granted after 1/7/2018 when new budget kicks in according to historical pattern.

Currently, PVC will hold some places for the applications waiting for AOS and medical clearance before 22/4/2015

Have a great weekend to all roommates here

    cheers

That would be nice if some places were held for those awaiting AoS clearance.  However I'm not holding my breath that we will slip in with that.  Nearly 18 weeks and still no contact from Centrelink regarding our AoS.  I think we will definitely be after 1 Jul for granting of our visa - just hoping we get there before we need to re-do police checks and medicals!

Great to hear how well your application is going, but I am completely baffled why some ppl are getting called for documents (and AoS) months before others.

I can't help thinking immi is in complete meltdown and has now lost control of the process.

“survival of the fittest - mentally.” I'm mentally knackered!

    @SusieRoo You and me both!!!

Hi, just some advice for those family members who are soon to pay their AOS.

I work full time, so wanted to make the bond payment for the AOS as part of my mum’s visa application, and head straight to Centrelink with the proof, all in 1 afternoon. This was to minimise time away from work and not create more delays to an already lengthy process. (Comm bank are only open 9.30am-4pm!!!! too )

If you are looking to do this, I highly recommend you open up a Comm Bank account prior to setting up the bank guarantee. (You can close it again straight after the transfer.)

Comm Bank won’t open the bank guarantee account unless you have all the money needed in your hand(cash/ bankers cheque) or are already a Comm Bank customer with the full amount of money sitting in the account, ready to do an instant transfer.

My personal bank is online based and will do a 3hr telegraphic transfer, but the funds wouldn’t have been available for 24hrs, so Comm Bank said they wouldn’t sign off until the money was available to them, even though they would see it sitting in the account (grrr!)

So Yesterday after some pleading with my other bank, we were able to get out $10k cash from the ATM to physically take to Comm Bank.

I cant tell you the stress that brought on, for what should have been an easy process.

I hope this info is helpful for anyone due to pay theirs soon, so you don’t have to run around like a crazy person begging for cash, as I did yesterday.

Can you give us details of your dates - submission of application, additional forms, medicals, AoS etc.  Thanks.

    Hi Bev,

You can try... We have emailed twice now and just been fobbed off both times.... even when we asked specific questions they were ignored and we were basically told we would have to wait. They even had the cheek to tell us that visas were processed in strict date order.... which we know is a outright lie...... The replies we got just left us more frustrated than ever....  But if you do decide to try, good luck.

    Ray.

This is really getting ridiculous  Not to have been asked for further docs etc at the stage you are at is crazy.  Especially when you compare yourselves with HarrisL16 who applied after you and has already had the visa granted.  The whole thing seems to be getting out of hand both with Centrelink and IMMI.  Let's hope they sort things out soon.

Did you lodge online or paper form? might be useful info for others.

Another thought is that with the change in income requirements on Apr 1, centrelink might've started processing the applications on a last-in-first-out basis, so they can easily decline the applications that don't meet the income requirement.

We lodged in paper form - on line wasn't available when we lodged.  So if your idea of last-in-first-out basis is correct we probably won't get a look in for months.  So unfair.

  13. I really cannot understand the disparity in the AoS processing times.  There is Thomas 1965 who has his interview within 1 day of submitting the docs and then approval after 4 days and here we are still waiting for a call after over 14 weeks.  Some people seem to get action if they call Centrelink, but we have called and sent e-mails all to no avail.  Anyone got any suggestions?  We are getting desperate here!

  15. Well, we have just managed a quick call with our daughter.  She spent 1 hour 20 mins on the phone this morning waiting to speak to someone at AoS Centrelink.  They have confirmed (again) that all the AoS paperwork was received on 3 Jan and that it is all in order.  She was advised that the time for processing is 18 weeks!  Slightly longer than the 8 weeks which other people have been quoted.  She was told to check again in the middle of May!  Having done a spreadsheet with 13 people who have had their AoS approved it would seem that the average waiting time from submission to interview is 10 weeks - the shortest waiting time was 6 weeks and the longest 17 weeks.  The majority were contacted within less than 9 weeks.  We are at 14 already and still waiting.  We are seriously thinking we will have to put in a complaint.

The only good thing about the phone call was that they confirmed that as we had submitted prior to 1 April the old rules apply to us.

Not sure where this leaves us as we have a daughter with 4 children 6 days a week and a partner who has 3 children 2 days a week. How on earth do we work this out? I am despairing as I don’t that we ever get toOz now they have imposed such ridiculously high figures.  Our daughter and partner don’t have high paid jobs so do we give up now?

Please don't give up.  We will get there in the end I'm sure.
