Exactly! No guarantee and a good shake of a fridge or a washer could damage them. On gumtree my daughter has had goods that are practically new. Like here you can buy a property where all the goods are included anyway. How do you know that space between the units is the right size for your imported fridge. Gumtree is far more popular over there some real bargains to be had. A friend sold her spare bedroom furniture which had been used about twice because she moved into a house with fitted wardrobes etc so another friend of mine then bought it at bargain price. I am only taking personal possessions, clothes, favourite pictures, ornaments, bedding, towels, some kitchen stuff etc. I have done research, looked at prices on visits and of course will wait for the sales. I very rarely buy here at full price ? To leave big items over here/there in storage for months to me is a false economy,it's not cheap, and at monthly rate times for however long storage? I am torn between my own home or granny annexe so, until I'm there, I won't know what I need.

Strange I was told white goods cheaper there! Also, you have to add cost of shipping and as you say tax. You need to be able to change the plugs also, some have a mounded plug attached.

Supposed to be for completion by 34mths. If you look at @Catlady2014 timeframe at bottom of her posts. Give you an idea of times when things have been lodged/competed etc., At least you are on the home run unlike a lot of us ?

Think I would leave it near the time. Visa's seem to be changing fast who knows what the waiting time will be and at what higher cost, which is highly anticipated. You could always message Alan Collett at Go Matilda, free first consultation I believe

Contributory Parent 143 When are payments due
Kathss56 replied to Dawno's topic in Family / Partner Visas
If you are going to apply for 143 do it sooner rather than later as many of us suspect a steep rise in fees! current processing has now gone to 34mths -
I too have container shipping through work. Maersk Line. My memory seems to tell me about £4K for a 20' or was it a 40' ?

Yes, I think they will increase the 143 visa cost significantly, in the hope people won't bother and do this new one! Therefore, we could just be luckier than we currently think!

Me too. Also, which staff are going to process the new one. Doubt they have employed any extra staff! I guess many more of us will go over on a 600 if needed to.

Here's hoping this new new parent visa makes a slight dent in it. Even if only a couple of months. Fingers crossed!
