  1. It looks like 250 invitations cleared a half of month of 70ers and 2 months of 65ers. Surprisingly, despite the total number of invitations fall from 2400 to 1600, they didn't cut the number of accountants - same 250. Hopefully, the trend will be the same, which is good for 65ers submitted in 2015.
  2. So let's continue guessing what will happen next. Decided to share my rough prediction regarding the numbers of invitation for 189 accountants. Based on the last fin year data and assumption that the quota for accountants will be around 10% of the total invitation number, my optimistic forecast looks like that: http://prntscr.com/a1h1km so what do you think?
  3. I am not sure, but I think you can just update your current EOI and change the visa type and other fields that are different for 189 visa. So you don't need to withdraw it. But again, this sounds pretty logical for me, but I don't know for sure.
  4. It would be great if accountants started to exchange opinions or findings/conclusions here. Based on the latest published results (22th Jan round), there are/were around 125 accountants who submitted 70+ points EOI a month on average. Next a few rounds will show how many 65 pointers submitted EOIs a month averagely.
  5. In your case in terms of NSW SS ranking your IELTS result is equal to 7.0 if I am not mistaken. Hope people, who got 189 invites will be withdrawing their 190 EOIs, and vice versa. I think this is important to communicate this message as often as it's possible.
  6. 250 invitations for accountants on the Jan/22th round. Good news indeed. Very keen to know whether 65 pointers started to get invitations on the Feb/5 round. Hope they will show the results by the end of the next week.
  7. Hi mgreaves, could you explain how to find out the date on which 65 pointers are waiting?
  8. Hi CaptainC, Do you have any estimates how many accountants(69+ points) are waiting for 189 invitations? Of course I understand that this is only estimation, but I think that based on how fast the queue has been moving the figure could be calculated. Thanks in advance.
  9. Thank you very much for sharing. I've got IELTS 7.5. If anyone got sponsorship (190 visa, 65+5) with IELTS 7, I'll be very happy to know. Please share.
  10. Well, that's great, congrats on that. You're an accountant, right? And what was your language score? I am asking because these factors are decisive.
  11. Hi, Submitted my EOI (190, Accountant) with 70 points in mid Nov, and is still waiting. I am very desperate to know if there is at least one accountant who got sponsorship (190 sub-class) with 70 points - want to know that they invite aplicants with such background and my chances are more than 0.
  12. Good point. So if you're right, DIBP plans the number of skilled migrants based on DIBP load rather than on calculated needs and something changed in 2015-2016 fin. year because they were able to process a greater number of visas in the previous year. Interestingly, does it mean that later the number of invites will rise dramatically? (rhetorical question ). Another theory is that because of a significant fall in oil and gas prices worldwide the AU economy slowed down and now they simply need fewer new employees. But this is just a wild guess (what else can we do? )
  13. Hi, does anybody know an accountant who got an 190-visa invitation (NSW) with 70 points (65+5). Need to know if there is any chance to get one?
  14. Hi Cap. Have a question indirectly related to this thread. This year DIBP act differently from 2014-2015 - in Dec and Jan they issued only 700 invitations a round (1400 a month), while in Jan 2015 the invitation number peaked at 2770 (the highest result in year). The question is why and what will be the trend in your opinion?
  15. Hi, can anyone remind me how much it needs to be paid for newborn baby in visa application?
  16. First of all, congrats on your unbelievably fast visa grant (10 days after invitation) - didn't know this possible. Speaking of your suggestion, I think there should be some logic behind defining the number of invitations for accountants, however I don't think their calculations are based on the year quote for each occupation. And they are definitely not going to fill all 2525 places for accountants in 2016. They definitely want limit number of accountants, but the question is "how much"
  17. Just wanted to share a good sign from DIBP. Although there were sent only 700 invites (compared to 1150 in the latest Nov round) on 4 Dec invitation round, this was the first time when the quotation for accountants rose from 25 to 45 per round.
  18. Does anybody kbow accountants who recently got at least sponsorship 190 visa invitation having 65+5 points?
  19. Know a person, who got invite within ~20 days after submission, accountant 70+5.

  21. Hi, starting this thread to exchange information with accountants who are waiting for 190 Visa. Submitted EOI with 70 points on Nov 13th. Please share your info.
  22. Hi swtpm15, Can you tell us which state you applied for?
  23. Hi Captain. So you suggest that there won't be any noticeable increase in the number of invites to accountants? Now they give only 25 a round, so if they increase it , let's say, to 100, and keep it for several rounds the min score may fall to 65, doesn't it? 24. Hi, I calculated 25 for accountants (from 440 to 465). Does anybody know how the total number of invitations is split beween occupations (formula)?
