  1. Greetings, Case officer has emailed to undergo health checks and submit Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) within 28 days. My wife is 6 months Pregnant and we are not interested to have X Ray conducted so decided to defer the medicals till birth of baby. We have following queries 1) I have unfortunately not updated Case Officer with pregnancy status yet. Should we respond back the email with Doctor Report or we have to attached Form 1022 (change of Circumstances) as well? 2) I believe its not possible to submit my medical right now and submit wife medical later on? 2)Is deferring Medical at this stage due to medical reason have any negative affect on the case? 3) What about PCC, should we submit them with in 28 days or should submit it after baby birth along with medicals? We would like to have PCC submit with medicals so that in case of any unforeseen delay we don't need to resubmit PCC. 4) Furthermore as per my understanding I need to submit single PCC for Single Country, doesn't matter if I lived in different cities. Thanks for your support in Advance. Regards Malik

    Police Certificate enigma!

Hi folks, I'm still in the early stages of my application. IELTS done and waiting for skills assessment but I'm certain of a positive outcome. Very recently, I found that I will need to get a police certificate for the last 10 years so I am planning to get it in the meantime to avoid delays. Following is the requirement stated on www.immi.gov.au When is a police certificate required? If you are over the age of 16 and have lived in any of the countries listed in this document for a total of one year or more in the last 10 years, you must get a police certificate from that country. The certificate must cover the period of time from the issue date back to the age you ceased to be a minor or must cover the whole time you were in a country. For immigration purposes a police certificate is deemed to be valid for 12 months from the issue date. To give a brief history about myself, I was born in Feb 1990 and grew up in Muscat, Oman and was there until April 2005 (15y), when I moved to Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa. After spending about two years there, I moved to India in April 2007 (17y) and since then I've been residing permanently in India. After reading the above requirements, I'm almost certain I wouldn't need to obtain a police clearance from Oman but I'm confused about Tanzania. The text states, "The certificate must cover the period of time from the issue date back to the age you ceased to be a minor" So, what is the age of minority for the purpose of this certificate, completion of 16 years or 18 years? If it is 16 years, I may have to obtain certificate from both Tanzania and India but if it is 18 years, I will have to obtain it only from India. Does anybody have an idea? Please help me out. Am I missing something here?
  3. Hi I by mistake employed a Migration Agent who turned out to be a complete flop He was not even half aware of the processes and was surprisingly a fool. I got Victorian Nomination on March 3rd and we lodged an EOI on 9th March 13. Neither my agent nor I was aware that we need to write to Victoria(My chosen state) to proceed further. It was only after 3 long months of gruelling wait that I read about this information and wrote to Victoria about my EOI ID. Within next 2 days, I got the invitation from Victoria I have Lodged my Visa now on 7th July, Case officer is not yet assigned to my application. I have two questions: 1. Dont wish to repeat the same mistake as last time, I have written to Victoria already, Paid for the Visa and have shared the information and reference number with Victoria. Is there anything else which needs to be done? 2. What is the acknowledgement letter all about. I just received a Payment Confirmation letter which is a PDF file and no formal acknowledgement as such. (Can someone share with me a screenshot of acknowledgement letter so that I can drill my MARA agent just in case if he is still in his slumber) 3. My EOI status is displayed as "Suspended" is this normal. This happened after I applied the Visa once Victoria Invited me. 4. I checked with the Indian embassy in Singapore, they said they cannot issue me a PCC before they hear from embassy, kindly suggest If we get any letter from Case officer for PCC or can we do it ourselves (Download from somewhere etc) Thanks a lot in advance My timelines are as follows: IELTS: L:9, R:9, W:8, S:8.5 Overlall: 8.5 | EOI Points scored: 80 | Category: 261314 | 7.5 Years Exp | Staying and working in Singapore Victorian SS application submitted: 17 Oct 12 | SS Accepted 6th March 13 | EOI submitted: 9th March 13 | Victoria Invitation received:2nd July 13 | Victorian Visa applied: 7th July 13 | CO Assigned: Waiting | PCC Applied Waiting | Medicals Completed: Waiting | All documents confirmed received by CO: Waiting | Visa Granted: Waiting
  4. Hi all, Applied Visa: Subclass 496 Skilled - Designated Area-Family sponsored ts a good news, that we have been assigned to the case officer on Sep 11th. However, I am a bit concerned here. I have filed the PR from India, right now I am working in UK and my spouse is working in USA. My wife has submitted the medicals reports and PCC to the case officer. I have submitted my medicals reports to the case officer and waiting for my Indian-PCC to arrive from UK, since I had applied it from Indian Embassy in UK. I will be expecting my PCC by 15th Nov and then submit it accordingly. Following are my concerns if someone could help me out: 1. How long would it take for the PR to come after I submit the PCC? 2. Could we get the PR stamped from UK/US since we are working currently in these countries or do we both have to go back to India to get the PR stamped ? Waiting for the reply, please help.
