  1. Hello there we are doing the same.... I'm going out on a evisitor visa in Sept which will be 3 days before my 10 month mark is up but its only me that needs the visa as hubby and our 3 girls are Aussie citizens. It was the issue with starting school in September that we made the decision to go earlier rather than wait so we can get the girls in to school asap... The only thing that will be hard is when I have to leave for 3 days but we have Aussie nan coming up to help us hopefully they will be ok and I get a 3day mini holiday (havent had a day with no child for 10 years I wont know what too do with my self lol) I applied on line for my evisitor visa. I applied on Friday and got my grant this morning (Monday) so all seems good...
  2. So i spoke with ESC today just to confirm its ok to get a tourist visa and I explained why we need to go in september and was told that its all good and that if my visa is granted while im there they will ask me to leave for 3 working days. The lady I spoke with asked for my client ID so she could check my visa status and although they cant really tell you anything she did say im not really telling you this but its been finalised and in a que waiting to be granted but she didnt know how long the que is.... Now I have booked flights for Aus in September and have applied for visitor visa just incase.... fingers crossed I get Partner Visa before I go....
  3. WOOOOOOO HOOOOOO congratulations :jiggy:very very excited for you. When will you be going? Hope it wont be too long till they get to us November applicants...
  4. I dont know london prices but I live in dorset (Bournemouth/Poole) area and the property market is amazingly high now if you want to buy there isnt much here thats under £250,000 in fact your looking at nearer £500,000 and up for anywhere decent.... some of my work mates rent just a single room in a shared flat in Bournemouth and that costs them around £650 a month each.... Also dont forget that most rentals here you still have to pay all bills...gas electric water rates etc...and council tax which can be high depending what band your in we also have to pay for the recycle binmen to come too oh and dont forget TV licence too.... If your driving cost of petrol is a lot more than in Aussie from what I understand.... and train fares are sooooo much more than the were 10 years ago.... I use to travel Bournemouth to Southampton for nights out and my ticket would cost £7 for a day return now a days it double that at £14.40 ..... Make sure you way up all the pros and cons for each country before you really make your decision. Each has their own good and bad points you just gotta decide which will be best. Good luck in which ever you decide ....
  5. Thanks for the suggestion but I am no longer under 31 (boo) and also I already used the Working Holiday Visa which is how I met my now husband.
  6. Again thank you for that as I misread the info (i thought it meant for up to 3 months in a 12 month period....) That puts my mind to rest. Now just to find out if hubby's wage will support all of us.... time to contact BOSS... and away we will go....
  7. Thank you Just one more question (or two), how long do I have to leave the country for before i can re-enter and do I have to apply for another evisitor visa?
  8. Ok may be I am being a bit thick but just to ask if I go on a evisitor visa in Sept which is up to 3 months (Nov)..... can I get another one straight after? (hopefully wont need to but just in case as the 14 months takes me to Jan 2016.... Hope someone can help me thanks...
  9. thanks for that just wanted to make sure it will be ok...... Just another stupid question...... How do I let my CO know? As last time i tried to email him the automated message said it was for sending documents only and I never got a reply....
  10. So all has gone very quiet with London office and my hope for an early visa grant is getting smaller and smaller.... We really need to go by 12th Sept, can i go on a visitor visa while Im waiting? Just want to make sure it wont affect my partner visa application...
  11. Oh just a quick question.... My hubby has just renewed his aussie passport as he is my sponsor do I need to let my CO know? I have only found out info if I change my passport but nothing about the sponsors... maybe looking in wrong place...
  12. Thank you Im glad you guys understood what I was on about and you have put my mind to rest as I was not sending any documents, Just info.
  13. 14. Hopefully DP will grant a big bunch of visas in one go.... (wishful thinking I know but one lives in hope).... Id really like to go out in September for many reasons the main 2 are one weather wise as it will give us chance to acclimatise a little before the build up begins and two my middle child changes school in September and I really dont want to have to buy a whole new uniform for us to be able to go not long after plus shes not keen about the new school here...
  15. Its the not knowing when not even a hint that makes the waiting so painful. Just a question has anyone who has been granted their visa had DP as their co?
  16. its almost worse than having your teeth pulled out... I feel your pain already but still got a couple of months to go as applied in November.... Hopefully you will hear something soon x
  17. We just had the aussie passports delivered today not bad as we only had our appointment on 24/6 and were told 3weeks till we get them. It only took a week...
  18. Hay Aussiegirl no you dont need to take the kids with you infact when we booked the appointment they requested not to bring them which was good as hubby went up on his motorbike and its a 3h journey for us and it made it easier for him on the motorway...
  19. Hi Aussiegirl my husband went up to London as he is the aussie but said he just had to wait for his appointment and stood at the counter while they went through the forms and asked for various documents ie birth certificates, citizenship by descent certificates our marriage certificate etc.... and was done in half hour and that was for 3 kids passports and to renew his own... just make sure you have everything with you and you have filled out the forms all should be fine..... Hubby said there were others there while he was waiting who didnt have the forms signed or any photos done and were causing all sorts of probs and were still trying to get there passports after he left....
  20. Hi Bound4Tassie when we applied for citizenship by descent for the kids it took just over a month till we got the certificates so hopefully you will get yours soon. We've just applied for the passports last week all went well and had an email today saying they have been processed and should be with us soon... Now all we need is the visa to be granted board of waiting now.....
  21. Hi all, Pookie72 you've done a great job with the list will be interesting to see the visa grants when they happen. I have to say the waiting is killing me the anticipation of when its gonna happen is now just painful... really do hope they manage to approve them alittle early as would really like to go in September but dont really expect to hear from them till then... Just to ask is anyone going to Darwin?

  24. Hi Gbamber there seems to be quite a few who applied in Nov will be interesting to see who gets theirs first. Really would like to be able to go in Sept as I know the later in the year we go the climate difference will be quite challenging for all of us as we are moving to Darwin and its been 10 years since we were last there.... Has there really been Sept grants done already??? havent seen that... oooh sounds promising...
