Hi we used seven seas to move our suff to Darwin we only took books dvds and kids stuff plus two bikes total of 10 boxes cost us just under £1000.... it was the cheapest quote we got.. very happy with their service and we even changed our address when we got to Aus... got all boxes in 12 weeks and no issues...

You need to go to MVR on Trower road casuarina, opposite the shopping centre (next to swimming pool). My hubby had his changed there and they did it there and then... you just need to take proof of address and residency... hope that helps x

Hiya the girls love their new school and have settled in really well have made friends easily (school only has 187 kids in it). We are all loving the Darwin life but would recommend getting a place with a pool (its helped with the kids to adjust to the heat). Im sure you will love it here x

Hi we have just moved to Darwin been here a week now.... we are in Alawa not too far from you.... once we are alittle bit more settled and not running around like a mad chicken maybe meet up at Casuarina for coffee and a chat Jenny

Hi all we are now in Darwin and loving it.... Been here a week today and all going well.... Kids have settled into school really quickly and also settled in our house really well so all good.... now just need to find jobs... Only thing I dont like (but its an issue for me anywhere) is the mosquitos they are eating me alive but other than that all is good.... The kids love seeing the different lizards and watching the bats fly at sunset... Thats all for now as all a bit busy and barely get 2mins to myself at the mo...will comment again soon x

Hi yes i have been to Darwin I spent 8 months there but it was 10 years ago.... Yes my girls are excited to go they are not happy here in uk so are looking forward to the new adventure. we are looking around Casuarina area as I dont drive.... Will keep you updated... May be we can meet when you guys get there... as you said be nice to meet with other mums and my 9 year old gets on much better with boys than she does girls. may not be on POMS IN OZ much for a couple of weeks as moving in a weeks time.... will get back to you with any info as soon as will be poss.... Hi Alex we are emigrating to Darwin next month so will give you any info once we have arrived and found our own way. I have 3 girls aged 3, 7, and 9 years.... How old are your children? Do you have any idea as to where abouts you want to live? Have you ever been before? Jenny

Hay Aussiegirl its all go for us we fly out 1st week of September. Very excited a little nervous and a bit stressed with trying to sort everything and pack (not easy with all the kids with me) otherwise all is going well not long now :wink:

<p><p>I applied 11/11/14 but I did email my CO to tell him of travel plans to Aus in September. Got reply saying as my travel dates are around the time my visa was going to be granted they made a decision to grant me my visa early... hope this helps ease your mind you should get yous soon.</p></p>
