  1. Thanks for the support. I know we'r not the only ones and there's others who have been waiting a lot longer. We are with an agent too, but they have been asking for all our evidence and form 80 x3 after submitting our application, which we had felt should have been uploaded to her office in Uk before submitting to save as much time waiting as possible. Although this 47a form we were not expecting .. It's so frustrating as the info is the same as what we gave sent already apart from my son's CV!
  2. We are still waiting...its been over three months since submition and they are still asking for more forms and evidence ! Dependency form requested today, last lot of evidence were sent 5 weeks ago. New case officer has decided to get us to jump through more bloody hoops.. I just want to scream and cry...Im starting to think our dream is over!!
  3. I'm trying get my 19 yr old on 189 visa with myself and husband, submitted in Jan and still waiting. just been asked today for another form re dependency! I think it might be 47a but agent hasn't confirmed with us! She told my husband that we need to do another form and give evidence. we have no bloody luck in our family? we have been told that if in education and living at home with part time job it should be granted but we tick all these boxes and ours hasn't ben granted yet!
  4. Yes im following a few other feeds on visa timelines, I'm getting jealous as others are getting theirs though and we still waiting lol
  5. I also was was told by my agent that the co were asking for info already on their systems! Very annoying!
  6. I lodged 26th Jan, me my husband and 19yr son. Medicals pcc and all documents including form 80 x3 uploaded to agent for application. Last contact form Co was for more dependency info for son a few weeks ago, which were sent the same week ( mind you my agent is doing it all so no idea if she sends as soon as she recieves from me or the week or 2 later!! ) Ive not heard nothing since then again. I'll post as soon as I hear anything. good luck
  7. Hope your daughter is on the mend , that sounds painful and stressful for you , with her being away from you. I think we must have the really picky jobs worth CO on our case ha ha... Just need to chill a bit I think maybe stop checking emails every day and perhaps it will get granted when we least expect it. We can't go until our flat sells anyway so that could take months anyway.
  8. Our agent keeps telling me it's not just my visa! but I feel like she's saying this as if I'm stupid. So is it three separate visas or not, I'm confused now then?! The only extra info they have asked for ( according to our agent ) is regarding his dependency on us. We had already done the form 80 X 3 We also had supplied so much info ready for the application on his dependency on us, but not sure how much she actually uploaded initially. I think its just frustrating as we can't see what and when they are contacting us via the agent.
  9. Thanks. Looking at your timeline, it didn't take long to get your visas granted. Our agent is positive that we should be ok, our son stopped working his part time job over 2 months ago, so when we had to upload extra documents requested by CO, we advised them of this. We had provided the agent with loads of evidence of us paying for him, petrol, food, clothes, flights, etc plus college info, voting slips for address proof. I even had to write a letter to summarise everything we do for dependency proof! It's only been about two weeks since the last lot of info (the letter), was front loaded according to our agent , but not sure if she is telling us everything when it happens. Don't like not knowing or not being in control.
  10. Anybody recently had a visa granted for their teenage dependent child? We are still waiting the news of ours and wondering how long it could take. any advice would be great.
  11. Emailed our agent last night to see she had any contact or request for more evidence/information and surprisingly she had !! Originally applied 26th Jan, uploaded evidence and police checks/Medicals 7th March. Not sure when she had the first contact as she has not kept us informed.....just wonder if I hadn't emailed last night would she have told us?p they were asking for stuff. anyway, they have asked us for my husbands police check and form 80 ! even though we had already uploaded these weeks ago. not sure which office we are being dealt with in but hoping this is a positive and could be hearing soon about if we are being granted. We are fed up at the moment as we are stuck in limbo land .....can't do anything more until our is flat sold and the visas are granted.
  12. Had ours at Spire Cardiff, no stripping for us thankfully, and the doctor did all tests , there was no sign of a nurse ...which I had said to my son that Drs don't take bloods they get a nurse to do the meanial tests (I'm allowed to say that being a nurse ha ha) no problems with any of ours. We didn't sign to consent to hiv test but he did check we understood the test. we were all out with hour and half including X-ray (3 of us)
  13. Im a district nurse myself and hoping to get practice nurse or clinic job, been told probably won't get hospital ward job as not recent experience. I'm also planning on Sydney as we have friends there. i needed ielts for anmac and it also helped with APHRA as this for proof of English language rather than having to get proof from all education as far back as primary school was going to be a headache so I went the easiest route. I am using an agent so she has been advising us all the way. The ielts was ok, I would say to do lots of practice papers and time yourself when doing them, you'd be surprised how quick the time goes for the reading and writing.I bought books with CDs from amazon and also joined a free online programme for my practice. I passed first time last July. I'm not great at English despite it being my only language and not having a GCSE in English, so if I can pass you'll be fine. I only got a overall average of 7.5 but was so happy to have passed it enough for anmac and ahpra. I did- ielts, anmac, APHRA visa. ahpra can be done after visa or before, if you get your visa first you will get full registration straightaway, otherwise you will need to present in Australia with visa to complete registration, but you will get up to one year max to do this. Good luck
  14. Are you planning on going to Oz to complete registration before anmac and visa? I had planned on this route but couldn't do modified anmac as was not presenting in Oz to finalise APHRA registration. You need this for the modified version. I sent anmac full and ahpra applications off together, I've now got provisional registration until I present in Sydney office with proof of and visa to finalise, at the latest next Jan.
  15. I'm a community nurse from Wales and almost at the end of the process, awaiting my grant for 189 visa. Where u planning on going? What field are u in?
  16. I'm also a nurse waiting on our 189 visa decision. We used an agent to ensure we did everything right, but I have a 19yr old and for us that was more the reason we went with agent. To be honest looking back I probably would have been OK doing it all ourselves and would have saved almost 2k. The assistance and help available on this forum is invaluable. There's always someone who can help. If your straightforward and you did anmac and APHRA yourself, you will prob be fine doing your visa. good luck
  17. Congratulations to all who are getting your visas. Are you all independent travellers or are you taking dependents with you? Im awaiting our visa to be confirmed, my husband and 19yr old son. We submitted 189 26th Jan, police checks and Medicals done, all docs including form 80 uploaded ( my agent got us to fill it in anyway). Just wondering if these 6 week quick decisions are because you have simpler applications? Im thinking my son will make it take longer than you guys? Anyone know of anyone who had teenage dependents approved recently? If so how long did they take to approve?
  18. Submitted 189 on 26th Jan, Medicals booked for next Wednesday, my police check completed but waiting on my husbands and Son as they had to get new passport photos. Scanned loads of documents and evidence to our agent this week ready for her to upload, not sure if she has done some of this already? not been told if we have a case officer yet either? needed to order three new birth certificates this week as ours didn't have our parents full names on them! Another bloody expense £80 for fast track ones, should be here this week. son has to get new passport too ( wish our agent had advised this before we submitted as this may hold things up as could take weeks to come back. form 80's were completed with agent just in case and getting together evidence to prove sons dependency on us. hoping to be leaving Uk for Sydney sometime in June?? Anyone know if being with an agent makes for a quicker decision?
  19. Ive only had an email, nothing in the post.
  20. I sent certificates, transcripts and clinical hours transcripts.
  21. great reading this and your journey. Ive done something similar by getting a Oz diary and marking all our milestone events along the way since last year when we started. Again I thought it would be nice to look back at in years to come. I get excited to fill it in with new things, this week we applied for our visa via our agent so that's being added tonight! Good luck in your journey
  22. Pour agent did ours last night! Good luck
  23. Thanks for your advice. I have received copies of EOI submitted and my points break down. I don't want to apply without using agent as complicated with 19 yr son on visa application, I just wanted to see the online page where my details are.
