  1. @Larad86 ur plan seems very much what mine originally looked like until I got in touch with my agent. She told me that I would have to do IELTS (no other way around it) to get nurse skills assessed and then apply for APHRA before applying for EOI and visa application. The rules have changed and you would need to present in Australia to finish off registration with APHRA. Where you looking to head?
  2. We are hoping for skilled independent visa.we are using agent for process so we make sure we get it right first time. so far she's not done much a bit of advice here and there but only just really getting started.
  3. Oh that's a shame thought I'd found a loop hole. Thanks
  4. I don't think anyone else would need NMC verification letter, but just wanted to check? So so if I get someone anmac is happy to certify forms and forward on to APHRA, and then APHRA don't agree they will get me to re send all documents??
  5. Ok I'm at the next stage of my oz migration process and need help.... Looking for information on getting NMC in UK to send letter to aprha please. when putting address on form, shall I put aprha and anmac on the NMC online form? Do I need letter to go to anyone else? then I've been looking at the information page on anmac about online form completion, and it says I can get different people to certify my documents than aprha accept, ( which is great for me as my friend is now able to sign them for free! Happy days... ) anmac state they are happy to pass these documents on to aprha for me for free? Is this right? Will they refuse if the person is not on their list though?
  6. I cried I was so happy and shocked at the same time I really thought I would have not gotten the score in the writing section. All this suddenly has gotten so so real! Both me and my husband are over the moon with this result.
  7. Just wanted you to know I passed with an overall of 7.5, I'm so pleased.
  8. I was only revising for the past month and I did the practice papers the week leading up to the exam so it was fresh in my head. I bought two official IELTS practice paper books from Amazon and also did online study. I used a future learn online course which was free and also really useful, each week they went over each section of test with lots of video tips and small bits to practice. I used an iPad for most of my online stuff which was ok for some parts but not everything. In my practice listening and reading papers I was getting between 34-36/40 and online looked like this would give me a mark of over a 7. My husband was reading my written sections and gave me some tips about structuring the essay better, he thought I was answering the questions but couldn't say much more as difficult to say how they will mark. I didn't practice my speaking at all and glad my topic on the day was fairly easy - talk about a movie I have seen and want to watch again. Will post next Friday when I know.. Fingers crossed
  9. For those who have sat IELTS, do you get feedback or just your marks? Wondering if I fail will I be told how?
  10. I sat my ilets in Bristol last week on 25th July and your story had given me hope that I may actually pass mine. I'm not the best at English despite being native speaker, I find the wiriting difficult as not academic. I need at least a 7 overall to nurse and get visas. I'm dreading the thought of having to re sit.
  11. I am in process of completing my ahpra application, form done, evidence collected just need certified and send off. Do I need to send all my cpd paperwork with it too? Does this need to be certified? How come you did the ilets? I thought that if you can prove English language in education for at least five years you don't need it and you can get anmac skills assessment after ahpra reg has been accepted without exam? Worried now that I'm wrong? Did you have any assistance with your applications or did you do it all yourself? Thinking of getting agent but not sure if this is a waste of money ? which visa are you going on? How long has yours taken to apply and accepted?
