  1. Citizenship interview done today and citizenship test passed. Now just wait on approval letter and ceremony.
  2. I can’t believe it’s happening this quick. I never expected this for at least 12 months minimum. Done a few mock tests today
  3. Applied for citizenship on the 3rd May 2020. Received an email today 27th August 2020 for my interview on the 12th October 2020
  4. Thank you so much for your help, that's what I thought I had to do. Just got a bit stressed when the agent said things had changed and was wanting $1500 when I thought it was a really straight forward process. Basically rental agreement and bank statements should be enough. No health issues or an complicated issues at all. You've made my day
  5. So for my next step it’s just a case of logging on and checking Immiaccount ? I expected to upload a bit of information to prove I’m still married etc and expected this part to be really straight forward. An agent done our previous 2 visas as we found it far to stressful and didn’t want to make mistakes.
  6. It's been a long time since I was on this page. I've gone from a PMV300 to a Subclass 820. The 820 expires in June this year, my immigration agent just emailed to say that the next process to 801 PR has changed. Can anyone confirm this as I expected it to be pretty straight forward, but it's looking like costing me $1500 for fees alone. Does this seem about right ? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  7. Hi there, been through the whole visa process starting with PMV 300 then onto a partner visa. We got married in Scotland last year and my wife still to change her details. Does anyone know what forms she needs to fill out for her to change her drivers license name, looking into this it seems like there's an 8 page document to fill out which seems a bit much. I expected to take a couple of bits of proof of name change and job done
  8. Meant we lodged 06/06/2016
  9. Just a wee update to let people know how the grants are going. We lodged our 820 visa from a PMV. It was lodged on the 06/07/2016 and we got a bridging visa BVA which didn't start till the PMV expired on the 21/06/2016. I got notified this afternoon that our 820 was granted which took less than 2 weeks. Not sure if that's normal. Just 2 years to wait to become a PR now.
  10. I've been with my partner just over 2 years, we lodged PMV in november 2014, got granted september 2015. We fly back to Scotland to get married next week then we lodge stage 2 of the partner visa 820 when we get back to Australia. Does anyone know the expected waiting time for this and do i go straight to PR if not how long would i likely have to wait
  11. Hi there. It's very straight forward with me and my partner. We have got joint bank accounts and both names on rental agreements. Flights to Scotland and Bali and London together and we have been living together for nearly 2 years. We have more than enough evidence but I'm just scared of making a stupid mistake I've got till the 18th June to lodge the next visa, so got plenty of time.
  12. Been a while since I've been on the forum. I got my visa PMV 300 granted in September 2015. Going back to Scotland to get married in 8 weeks then it's time to lodge the next visa. Subclass 820. I used an agent for the PMV, is it recommended to use an agent or can this be done myself ? If I had the spare money I'd just use an agent without asking but could really do with saving the $$$$
  13. Thank you and I hope it's not to hard a wait for your visa and it's the best call I've had and I'm sure it will be the same when you call your partner ?
  14. Thank you Melibios. I've lived in Fort William for 35 years and when the weather is nice then it's beautiful but that's not very often :-) 5 and a half months to get a nice tan for the wedding.
  15. Thank you very much. Getting married in Fort William in Scotland on the 9th April 2016 then a blessing in Perth Western Australia on the 24th April 2016.
  16. Wasn't brave enough to pull a sickie haha working until the 9th October then my brothers wedding on the 10th and I fly back to OZ on the 13th October.
  17. Thank you so much. Excited is an understatement haha feel like missing work today and going celebrating
  18. In bed sound asleep and my FaceTime starts ringing on my phone. It's 5 in the morning and my fiancé is calling. YES the call I've been waiting weeks for. 10 months and 3 days. Visa granted, October 13th I'm going back to Australia to be with my fiancé. If it wasn't for having this website and forum to look at and chat to people I'd have been lost. I'm on this website about 30 times a day looking for people's updates and reading other things. Good luck everyone that's waiting.
  19. No news yet. See somebody got there's that applied 2 days after me. I even wake up in the middle of night and check me emails in case my agent gets an email then notifies me :arghh::arghh:
  20. I spent 15 months out there and I've only been back for 2 weeks and I miss OZ already. Well I hope they speed things up and you don't have to wait that long.
  21. Thank you, been long wait but will be worth it. I'm back in Scotland and I want to return to OZ in the middle of October, as long as it comes before then and I can't return with my fiancé
  22. No news yet Aussiegirl. Every time my phone beeps with an email I rush to open it. In 2 days I hit the 10 month mark. Surely it's anyday now.
  23. Congratulations Pookie. Hopefully I'll get mine within the next week and I'll be sorted to return in the middle of October. Been back in Scotland for nearly 2 weeks and I'm missing Perth so much.
