  1. I'm only planning on being at my moms a month or so until I find somewhere else nearer to work. It is very weird but it's allowing me time to save the deposit for a room. Once I'm nearer work I'll be saving on petrol costs too.
  2. I've given up my rented home of 14.5yrs and moved back in with my mom [emoji15] I am now looking for a room to rent nearer to work to allow me to save ready for the move and paying all the visa costs. ( still 2 yrs off for me)
  3. Look forward to the updates fleks.
  4. Safe journey xx look forward to the updates
  5. Wow that's not long is it? 4 months to activate. I know I will not be able to travel over to activate and then return to UK due to finances. Thanks for replying. Is this due to when you had police checks and medicals or is the time reduced due to visa?
  6. Hi everyone. Can anyone answer my question please? I have looked and can't find where it's stated so hopefully you knowledgeable folk will know. When you are granted a 489 skilled visa how long do you have to move over? I know with 189 you have 1year to activate then 5 years to make the move but I am assuming 489 is different. Do any of you know please ? Xx
  7. So glad you are settled. I'm sure the homesickness is normal but it sounds like you are all making the most if the experiences which is what it's all about. Good luck xx

  9. Each state has the amount of experience you need for sponsorship on their page re visa and I need 2 years post qualification experience to gain sponsorship. Just wondering if I can apply before I have the full 2 yrs or if I will need to wait. This is for skilled regional 489.
  10. Hi everyone. I am planning a move on a 489 skilled regional sponsored visa. I need 2 yrs post qualifying experience to gain sponsorship but my query is... Do I have to wait until I have the whole 2 years before I apply or can I apply beforehand knowing it will take time? I am just trying to work out my timeline for getting everything done. Thank you

  19. If it is just for extra money I would not seperately my family for that. I would say go as planned and start your new life together as a family. Nothing can be more important than that.
