  1. Thanks, but I'm still in the waiting room, just we shuffled up to the sunny end!
  2. Thanks for the thanks! Jersey Boys was indeed a top choice to watch. Pity the same couldn't be said for the railways, with cancelled trains and delays, but now back at the hotel, last minute packing changes, before being picked up at 9.30am tomorrow. Right now, who gives a fig for the visa process? That sentiment will change early next week, I'm sure. See you on the other side people :cute:
  3. A day in London to see Jersey Boys then this time tomorrow we will be off! It sure zooms up on you the closer the date booked for flights gets closer!
  4. We were told all is ok if we heard nothing, but still wanted to see results, and a massive pressure taken away once we saw them! Enjoy Sydney when you get there. As you say our flights out are ever closer, which brings a smile to our faces, pity without 143 though, but all good things etc etc ?
  5. Hi Amanad we just contacted the centre where we had our medicals completed and they sent us the full results.
  6. Not great news on the allocation beng used for this year but upwards and onwards just giving Greens removals a mention as they have been packing us over the last couple of days! Great crew, and looks like they are doing a top job for us! Picture is a couple of them hard at work today!
  7. Got your visa, sod the name of a case officer, Congrats!! Now relax and enjoy..
  8. A busy couple of days ahead, pity only moving into storage at this time, I was hoping 2 years ago when we started the process to be out in Oz by now, but have decided to wait in Perth instead of UK. If the decision goes against us, then easy to move out of storage I guess.
  9. We opened an ANZ account, however, we sent our bond money across to our son, back in September when the rate was good. The reason we did this then, was we were advised that, should for any reason our visa application be denied, it can take time to get the cash back from the ANZ account. Not sure if this was correct, but as it was given at one of the "Down Under' events we attended, we assumed it was.
  10. Morning all, hows the bums on those seats? Thought we would share some pics as it is Karen's last day at work after 28 years with the Civil Service. Karen went in this morning hoping to slide away quietly, this is what greeted her. I have it on good authority that it's going to get messy from around lunchtime! Bucket anyone?
  11. Interesting read whilst sat here waiting. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-36299682
  12. We have stopped looking at this date now, we fly out in 11 days, and what will be will be. If we keep looking for the Friday updates, and they only move a couple of days, then stress levels rise again. :-) Besides, worse case scenario is we have return tickets for 16th August lol!
  13. Trying to keep ourselves busy as we sit and wait here in the waiting room, so thought we would share the assignment we are on at the moment! Learning about Oz spiders.....
  14. Not sure we want your pic! But we do want to be in your shoes! Enjoy, we will be less than 2 weeks behind!
  15. [h=3]Latest Exchange Rates: 1 British Pound Sterling = 2.00256 Australian Dollar[/h]
  16. Sharing this again, as we have now used them, and was really easy to use, and it means we now have an additional 60kg of clothing waiting for us in Oz. Well 3 t shirts, and some shorts for me, Karen had the rest!! Cheaper than paying excess baggage at the airport too! http://www.sendmybag.com
  17. Got my answer, my son received a phone call around lunchtime, explaining his responsibilities, and that he will receive a letter which he then takes to the bank.
  18. A general question from those who have completed the AOS stage please. My son went to centrelink today and completed all the forms he was asked to complete, but, he wasn't asked for any money. When does this bit get done?
