  1. Has anybody got an editable Form 80 they can send me please? I have been sent one from my MA, and tried using the one on IMMI site, but each time, when I go to save it, only the form saves, and not the content, which is getting frustrating now! Please note, not tech savvy, so it may well be my system as MA has suggested - Thanks
  2. I read a lot of threads saying its difficult making friends, once living permanently in Oz, and not sure why this might be. Granted we have only visited Oz, and never, as yet lived there, but we have a few Oz friends, as well as ex-pats through these visits. We attended social events such as cricket, and watching the local WAFL team play, and through these activities made a few friends, who we are still in contact with. Why do people find it hard to make friendships do you think? Or am I misreading the different forums wrong sitting here in UK?
  3. Surely you cant be expected to remember every date from the last 10 years when you traveled abroad? We can remember months/years but not the dates. then there are the golf trips in France, and all the odd weekends in Europe, going to need more form space! Does seem a bit excessive, but it's another hurdle to clear I guess.
  4. AAAArghhh! Form 80, what a form this is!! Does this get requested every time? Is it us, or is it difficult to fill in, seems everything we have done since birth is required!!! Also, we have just completed as much as we could, went to save it, and the form saved, but not the content!!! 1, 2, 3, 4,5 6 trying to keep calm by counting to 10!
  5. I've just had a memory come up on my Facebook page.......apparently today in 2014 we first received Form 47PA to read and complete, how time flys".............NOT!!!!
  6. Ooh, this is so true, although I don't remember the 5 ID's required. We were advised by a very helpful lady at the licensing centre, to put off getting our licenses until we had our Seniors Cards, thereby getting 50% off. Maybe we had enough as we had bank accounts already. We have been here a year now, and still get surprises. Of course, some of you will be too young to qualify for the Card! ?? all the best. What age must you be to qualify for a seniors card, out of curiosity please?
  7. BIG decision made today...................... purchased new comfy traveling trousers!!!
  8. Let the weekend begin, followed very soon by the new life in oz!! Congrats :arghh:
  9. Sent you a PM Steve, my opinion in a public forum might upset one of the companies!!
  10. Hope all goes smoothly, we had decided on one company, but then we asked for a few tweaks, and lots of additional costs appeared, so the company in today, can give us all and more than we hope we need, mainly storage if 143 visa isn't through by 1st June, plus was more cost effective.
  11. Where are you based Julie, just had a removal company leave me, and I was impressed with him.
  12. Its frustrating because we can see (hopefully) the finishing line, each day has me up early checking emails, even though I know nothing will be in the inbox, as it's still at least a month away before we get a case officer, judging by others timings......but hey, life feels great doing it!!
  13. We sold our house last August, and we have been very lucky as a friend has a vacant penthouse flat on Ipswich Marina, which she has let us use on 'mates rates' This has meant no contracts so we have just told her we will be out on 31st May, so that was easy, as all bills are included we don't have the issue of stopping all of these. However, we have still not finalised removals! We thought we had, but as we may now need a months storage in UK, this seems to have caused a price spike with the removers we were intending to move with.. So today I had another half dozen companies calling me on the phone, and it feels like we are back at square one with this! Other than that, phones and mobiles to stop, plus some accommodation to sort out for the last 4 night before we fly! Getting there, we think..........................
  14. It's just another hurdle to clear, and I reckon by now, we are all great hurdlers!!
  15. Thanks Kim, seems very secretive considering in its our results. But not going to upset the apple cart, I guess the doctors have a duty of care to tell you if something has cropped up? Well thats my thinking anyway.
  16. Morning all, a quick question on medicals if anyone can help please? We had our medicals last week, and I noticed this morning on the emedical site that our chest x-rays have been updated from referred to completed. How do we get to see the results?

  18. @juliew1499 this is the reply from our MA, as others have said its 28 days. Hi Alan and Karen, When the request comes through for the 2nd VAC they give you 28 days to arrange the payment, this is normally by bank draft (which we normally recommend is sent by your family in Australia directly to the PVC) or by credit card (which incurs a surcharge).
  19. Hi Julie, I thought this would be an easy find, via google, which I'm sure you tried, but I cant find anything about the timescale, so also keen to see if anyone has an answer. I have emailed my MA, so any answer I get I will post here - Steely
  20. A quick question to those who have had medicals.....once you have had these completed, can you track progress via the emedical client?
