  1. I would suggest working for a nursing agency to start off with then decide where you would like to work once you have completed a few shifts in various hospitals. I would recommend Healthcare Australia Agency. There is a relatively new hospital that has opened in Perth so I think there would be plenty of shifts available. I hope this helps.
  2. I was in Australia on a working holiday visa in 2013-2014 and I have murmur but it didn't prevent me getting a visa. My GP sent a letter directly to Bupa. The medical was completed in 2 weeks. I hope this helps.
  3. Thanks, I will have another look!
  4. Perfect, I have most documents certified. I'm hoping for an invite soon! How do you create the HAP ID, I have an immi account but I'm not sure how to book my medical.
  5. Hi, just wondering if you need to have your PCC certified? Thanks in advance
  6. An interesting read to compare the two cities. https://www.experienceoz.com.au/sydney-vs-melbourne
  7. Thank you. I have created my immi account. I'm hoping for an invite soon!!
  8. Hi CaptainC, Just to clarify, You have to enter Australia before the PCC or medical expires? Also is it worth creating an IMMI account before being invited? Thanks for your advice
  9. Hi, I have a question. I submitted my EOI on 12th October and I'm still waiting to be invited. I finish employment with my current job at the end of next month. Should I update my EOI now or at the end of next month? Thanks.
  10. Congratulations! Did you submit PCC, medical and form 80 before you submitted your application?
  11. Hello everyone, I have submitted my EOI but I have not been invited yet. I have completed PCC for the UK and Australia. Should I go ahead and book a medical before I receive my invitation and if so how do I do organise it? Thanks in advance
  12. Thank you. I have P60's 2010-2015 so I still will need 2006-2009. I have asked payroll for copies but I've not received them yet. Also wondering if I need to have them certified or will DIBP accept the copies.
  13. Okay I think I should probably go ahead with it. Thanks for your advice
  14. Hi everyone, I have a PCC for the UK but I have not done one for Australia. I was on holiday for 16 days In Australia in 2010 then I lived in Australia for just under a year in 2013-2014, I went on holiday for 13 days to NZ during this time. Do you think I will need to complete a police check for Australia? Thanks in advance.
  15. I think PCC are valid for 6 or 12 months. I also have a question. I have a PCC for UK but I have not done one for Australia. I was on holiday for about 2 weeks In Australia in 2010 then I lived in Australia for just under a year in 2013-2014, I went on holiday for 13 days to NZ during this time. Do you think I will need to complete a police check for Australia?
  16. I'm claiming 8 years. I'll send HR an email tomorrow and hopefully they will be able to help me. Thanks for your help
  17. Yeah I have read that recently. I have been in the same job for 5 years so I don't have old pay slips. Should I try to get copies of old P60's? Or just wait and see? I'm also waiting to be invited by DIBP.
  18. Does anyone know if we need to provide payslips or P60's to prove employment with NHS when applying for the 189 visa? I have three references for 8 years experience and one recent payslip. Any advice would be great
  19. Hi everyone, I have been told by others on this site that you can upload original documents to DIBP when lodging your application. However according to the Skilled Independent Visa (subclass 189) document checklist it states "All documents must be certified copies of original documents. Do not include original documents unless specifically requested to do so by the department. Can anyone give me advice on this issue. Thanks in advance.
  20. Ah I see, RCN covered me 2013-2014. Thanks for pointing it out. I'm just waiting to be invited to apply for the 189 visa.
  21. Are you registered with the RCN? They will cover you in Australia? My first agency I worked for in Australia included indemnity insurance whilst I was employed by them. Where are you sending your application? I would avoid sending it to Sydney or Melbourne. I sent my application to Perth and it took 6 weeks to process. Good luck
  22. Yeah I'm in the UK, its a very detailed form!! Thanks for your advice.
  23. Hi everyone, I am currently filling out form 80, do I need to list school qualifications as well as degree/diploma courses? Thanks in advance.
