Just Emailed you abbey. Cats turned up in two crates not one lol!!
-
We will be arriving in melbourne at the end of October, and our cats should be with us by mid November. We had a double crate built, which is a larger size (one of my cats is over 6 kg). We could sell to you if you want?

I'm about to air freight a few boxes of clothes and other personal effects to australia. I'm confused about which forms to attach. Do I attach the CN23 or the AQIS B354? The CN23 seems to be per box and the AQIS per consignment. As it will probably go Parcelforce, I'm guessing the CN23so confused!

Didn't your CO just tell you 9 months? I think you can still get cheapish flights up until 8th December. Even cheaper in January it's a pain I know, I've been planing for a year...
-
I think you should plan for the 10 month mark for a visa grant. We thought we would get ours sooner, being married for so long and having australian references, but it didn't happen. You could have a long weekend in Fiji perhaps in December.?

Just got our visa!!!!! 10 days short of 9 months. Yeeeee haaaaaa!! And it's the 100 subclass (permanent)

I don't know. But she said she will grant it, so I'm encouraging my husband to resign. Congrats Naomi btw

I am a dual national and live with my husband in (sunny) Essex. He is Lancasterian. Can't wait to go ...there are really good deals to melbourne on 21st-23rd October from stansted.

19th of December, but it took us two months to get all the documents together, so closer to 11 months of waiting for us. Who is yourCO. I think ours is The same as TheEscapePlan

I have done a little digging on a law centre site and found that speeding fines come under criminal law. You're probably better off just paying the fine
-
I'm unsure what the statute of limitations is for debt in Australia, and whether fines are exempt. Try going to citizens advice in Australia to find out, or a law centre. If it's the same as the uk, it may not be enforceable

There doesn't seem to be much transparency. If COs can only sign off a quota each month, why can't they just tell us that? Then we know that we are just in a queue
-
You wrote that you always saw your long term future in the UK and Ireland. I think you have your answer already
-
Ive seen a few on this thread that have been granted in July. I'm hoping it's just a rumour, as ours is due in August. Our caseworker has already had two holidays this year, can't see what else she'll be doing

Good luck in getting the passport for the baby so quickly, will they let you book the baby's bassinet without a passport?

When to transfer savings to Australian account?
Sandyp replied to JoannaAch's topic in Money & Finance
No inheritance tax. No transfer tax.
