  1. do you think people who have lived here all their life can stick the heat? im 26 and I dread the summer coming! half the time i sit inside and only go out if i have to.
  2. to me it sounds like your just trying to find a way to stay in the country. while alot of people out there genuinely want to live in australia and have to wait months on end, because of a back log because of people like you.
  3. if you have only been with new GIRLFRIEND 6 months how on earth do you think you'll get accepted for a PARTNER visa? you wouldnt even meet the criteria
  4. Thanks yes will def be declaring it, wouldnt risk.it. Just wasnt sure how it worked for when he arrives. Thanks again xx
  5. Whenever we arrive in oz what passport line should we go to as obviously i want us to go through together. Also as my partner has to declare he has a criminal record on the landing card..will he get stopped and interviewed? Or will they see hes on a partner visa SC 100 and obviously its already been investigated by our CO so just let him go through?
  6. application was received 30th september we had asked if we could be considered for the 100 as lived together 3 years. last few weeks have dragged in but the more grants i read on here made me more excited lol cos knew it had to arrive soon!
  7. Omg my partner got his visa granted today! 8 months and 2 weeks. And he got the subclass 100! Omg so happy!!
  8. Congrats Anyone else still waiting on theirs who applied in september? My partner is still waiting on his and ppl who applied after us are getting theirs.
  9. Omg yay!! Lol have to keep checking my partners emails we are getting impatient lol. Congrats!
  10. You'll need to get a passport. It would be like an australian born carrying a birth certificate..you cant travel without a passport
  11. Omg thats great! Thanks for the update. Hopefully not too long for us all now! X
  12. Yes i know that but then at least she would have some company and be able to socialise
  13. I think everyone feels like that at some point. But 6 months might still be too soon to return if you havent given it time. Its like a new job. You'll always think on the first few days 'oh i cant do this' ( well i have anyway lol) being in a new country is no different. My parents moved there from the uk and my mum hated it and wanted to return. Only they couldnt afford it, so obviously had to stay and adjust. And they did. And 25 years later they are still there and love it and would never move back to the uk. If its the family your missing id suggest making friends and getting involved in something. Ive known of peoplewho have returned to the uk after thinking aus wasnt for them and realised it was a mistake going back and regretted it!
  14. Not too bad for us cos we are together at least. But after applying it was looking fwd to getting acknowledgement email, then looking fwd to xmas, then the medical in january, his bday in april. We just kept ourself occupied with something to look fwd to each month to keep our minds off it. Once the visa is granted all the waiting will be worth it! And remember absence makes the heart grow fonder! Lol x
  15. No most of them seem to come through at the 8-9 month mark. We are on our 8th month and although the 8 months have flew in, these last few weeks are dragging in lol! Our co said it would be finalised between end of may to end of june.
