  1. Many congrats to you! Glad to see another June person getting the grant at long last! All the best with your new life down under!
  2. Good morning guys, nothing at my end yet! Although I'm feeling kinda excited for this week! Us June ones are sooo close now! Shreya I would imagine that you will get your grant before me considering you lodged yours 4 days before me! Think the grants will roll in this week
  3. Here's hoping all June gang will have the grant by the end of next week! Just a heads up... It's a public holiday in south Australia on Monday so no grants. But I'm sure the rest of the week will make up for it Have a good weekend everyone
  4. May congrats to you and your wee lads. I'm so happy to see that you have finally got the grant! Now that team 8 have broke the ice, I'm hoping the rest of us June guys are next! Good luck with everything!
  5. Hi kemal Wow you got your visa quick! Glad to hear of people from team 8 getting their grants!! At least we now know that things are moving albeit a little slow. In my case my agent got an email from my co last Monday saying she was only awaiting for an outcome on my medical examination. But according to evisa my meds have been finalised since the 19/9. The organise health link was replaced with no health examination blah blah So in my case I don't know what the hold up could be, but hoping that all remaining June folk get the visa granted real soon! Many congrats to you and wish you all the best with your new life down under
  6. No nothing Stefe. I agree with what you and syed have just said. If and i mean IF there is a backlog of applications with our team then I'm wondering really how far backlogged they are... I can't understand it, they have everything they need but still no grants... Grant processed applications= clear backlog. Simple... There is no need for this delay in my opinion. If other teams can give grants so quickly, what makes ours so different???????
  7. Hi, We brought our dog home from Perth to Dublin last year (we live in Northern Ireland) and used a company based in perth called Dogtainers, they were fantastic, couldn't recommend them enough. However, when will bring our dog back out to Australia we will be unable to use them seeing they based in Australia. I don't know about any pet shippers down south of ireland, but here up north there are a couple of ones that have been recommended to me. Our dog came over in a PVC box and will be using the same container to bring her back out. In your case, I think a wooden box is sufficient, at the end of the day, these companies have to ensure that basic requirements are met, if not, the animal will not be allowed to be put onto the aircraft. Lastly, do not even consider bringing your dog via London. The extra flight across will nearly double your bill!!! Instead we used emirates and the dog flew direct from Dubai to Dublin, then we went down and collected her
  8. You can count northern Ireland in for high risk too lol
  9. Serious question guys... Does anyone know of someone who has had their visa granted at any stage by team 8 Adelaide? Just really curious at this stage
  10. Your case is pretty similar to mine too buddy. From the UK, Only claimed ielts, age, 1 year aus work exp and degree. My co was only waiting for med to clear but they have been for over a week and still no visa. Can't understand it.
  11. Because wallas My co sent an email last week saying she was ONLY awaiting for the outcome of the applicants medical examination... That's why. And also I'm not from a high risk country.
  12. You right its not fair.... I wonder if its down to our team having a back log of applications, I wouldn't be surprised at this rate. Considering everything for my app has now been completed including meds it would make more since to give out the grant to me and other ppl in the same situation.... To clear the backlog... Perhaps that logical way of thinking is too hard?
  13. Of course, as expected from team 8 no grant for me either... Don't understand it cause last week the co said she was only awaiting for an outcome of my medical exam but they were finalised on the 19th sept... And now tomorrow is the beginning of October which means we are all going onto our FOURTH month of waiting... Unbelievable...
  14. Nothing to be worried about mate, we are all in the same boat. Don't know what the hold up is but I guess we will receive it soon.. I would only start worrying if I found out my co decided to use their long service whilst in the middle of processing my application lol, that would be a bummer
  15. Nothing to worry about. Your medical may be referred to the MOC to be double checked. But if there is no active TB (in which there isn't) it wont be an issue. Even applicants that are found to have active TB are given the option to have treatment for the TB and your application is just put on hold, until your treatment is over and the medics can confirm that the TB is inactive. Either way you won't lose out on your money or visa grant
  16. Hi Davey Mine says the same. The docs that the co requested from me still say requested and in the section below, it still says TRIM on the date that the co has REQUESTED (not received) these docs. Even though the co has now got all my docs, everything still says the same. Do not worry about this, as some case officers do not update evisa to reflect the current progress. BTW, TRIM means The requirement is mandatory. Hope this helps.
  17. LMAO!! So true!! I'm beginning to wonder if we have applied for a skilled visa at all, more like a retirement visa! Ah well, might as well laugh than cry. Helps to relieve frustration
  18. By the time we get our "skilled" visas granted... we will be unable to utilise our "skills" down under as we will all be preparing for retirement... :ssign7: Come on Adelaide team 8, show us some love!!
  19. Nope not today surprise surprise.... I started this process of applying for this PR visa ie. Skills assessment, IELTS etc 13 months ago and can honestly say I have been very patient the whole time...... But now i am finally beginning to crack... Hate the silent treatment and the not knowing.. So close but sometimes it feels so far away... I know all you guys (especially June applicants) can relate to this....
  20. Cheers freakedass. Tomorrow it will be 1 week since the message changed on evisa. So hoping tomorrow or friday I may have a nice email to wake up to. Have to stay positive
  21. I'm afraid there is still nothing at my end. Looks like today has turned out to be another disappointing day for us June guys. Here's to a better day tomorrow
  22. I wish I knew Stefe.. The only thing i can think of is that there is a delay in the system being updated at co side (that is if the co is happy with everything else) only a guess though.. or perhaps seeing a co has so many applicants allocated at the one time, then the co doesn't have time to check updates for EVERY applicant every single day... Also i guess the speed of the visa grant after the medical link disappears depends on if the co is finished processing all the other required docs. But if co is happy with all docs and is only awaiting for medical clearance, then I'm sure it wont take 3-5 weeks to get grant, more like a few days!!
  23. I totally disagree with you. I and I know a lot of us June guys have indeed been very patient considering there are people getting visas granted left right and centre even though they lodged theirs wayyyy after ours...... It makes the wait hard whenever you don't know what is holding back your grant because of little or no communication from the co.... And yes AUS in my opinion is what it is racked up to be. Why do you think there are thousands and thousands of people emigrating their each year.... To have a better life. And I know only to well that it is for us, a way better life out there. We have lived in WA for over 2 years and know it very well.. Yes the cost of some things are.more expensive but hey that's why the wages are way more... Some things are also much cheaper like utility bills, fuel, gst etc. All of us are very fortunate that we are in the position to be able to live out there as a permanent resident.... Its not called the lucky country for nothing........
  24. Haha a winery... Can't think of a better place to be sitting when you get the good news!! Be careful not to drink the place dry Can't wait to get back to Aus, hoping the grant will be here soon! All the best
  25. Many congrats Nessie!! That was a long wait for you but its been well worth it! So glad that a June applicant has finally been put out of their misery! All the best with your future down under
