  1. For our 190 visa recently we had to get the majority of things initially uploaded certified. Passports, references, qualification certificates, statutory declarations etc. Certainly for Uk and Australia police checks (we had both of these) they don't need to be certified. We used a notary public at a solicitors. £70 for everything
  2. I know it's not the same but our little girl had hip dysplasia had an open reduction was in a cast for 16 weeks and has plates and pins due to be taken out later this year. She is fine now, op was successful but we had our consultant write a letter detailing all the information, explaining she will need yearly follow ups and took this to our medical. The doctor uploaded this with her medical and graded her an A. Medical was cleared without being referred so fingers crossed you will be fine!
  3. I agree totally Lizzywills - although we used Go Matilda who have been brilliant, just peace of mind more than anything, especially when it's an area we were so unfamilar with!
  4. You can only claim for time that you were in Australia, probably common sense but please make sure you have all docs to back this up - we went back to Australian Tax office to get copies of my hubands self assessment documents from 2004-2008 and they were accepted as evidence from our CO along with his Australian Cbus superannuation membership card...good luck
  5. We applied for the 190 and I am glad we used an agent. The things they are aware of and know are invaluable when putting in your application as nothing can be changed/revised once submitted and I would never of imagined we would of needed half of the amount of things we had to supply. Even down to references! They're not just simple ones, they want extensive info! But everyone's different! Good luck

    Medicals!

Hey! We had ours on 3rd Jan at Bridgwater hospital in Manchester, really laid back and straight forward. Photo taken, height and weight checked, urine test, bloods, chest x ray and a general observation by doctor for each of us. They submitted our little girls result on the day and submitted ours the day after once bloods back. No issues at all! I'm under the impression you don't get contacted unless there is anything wrong. We got our grant 17 days later (we did get asked to provide additional evidence of Aussie employment so you may not have to wait that long if CO has all information they want) good luck x
  9. Hi all, just wondering off hand if anyone knows what you are entitled too when initially entering Australia. Had a look online but was a bit confusing. Our daughter will be in full time childcare, so any help with costs like in the Uk? Any info would be appreciated!
  10. Thanks all!! Yes please Sprug that would be great!
  11. Hey Bmap, got our visa yesterday! Hope you hear something soon!

    Form 80

Wen66 it took me ages to do ours!!! I was all evening doing it!
  13. Thanks everyone, so happy! I haven't done any work today! (ooops) We applied for SA - Our agent emailed us a letter in PDF format, one for each of us (me, husband and little girl) we have to be in Australia no later than 11th Nov - so were booking our flights in April for end of Octoberr - ONE WAY! :-)
  14. I started this thread on 12th November - today our visa has been granted!
  15. So just woke up, couldn't sleep, had an email from immi account notifying me of a status change. Turns out our visa has been granted!!! Email was sent at 23.10 Uk time! Sooooo happy!!! Roll on November!!!!
  16. Hey bmap no not yet! He requested Form 80 for us both and further evidence of my husbands australian work experience. We uploaded Form 80's and had to request tax documents from tax office in Australia as we didn't have copies! They came today and we have uploaded them so all docs requested we have now provided, hopefully not to much longer (wishful thinking and fingers crossed!) Have you heard anything?
  17. Ours now says No health examinations required and status is now received for the evidence of health examination. You can check for your own peace of mind when they were sent by logging into emedical client. https://www.emedical.immi.gov.au/eMedUI/eMedicalClient
  18. Hi Jojo it could be that you already have one but they are just looking over your application if everything was frontloaded! We submitted on the 8th Nov and only got a CO last week, requested tax documents for my husbands aussie employment x
  19. I just got all emotional reading this post, thanks so much for sharing! Were planning on coming out in October and booking flights as soon as we get our visa and i have mixed emotions but this post just put it all into perspective!
  20. Thanks all. My husband used to work out there and he is going back to his employer that sponsored him for his 457 visa which is nice of him! If he has to go to work straight away then that's what he will have to do! I am going to start applying a couple of days before we fly out. Just hope I can find something! I work in medical HR for the NHS and I really love it so just hope I'm not waiting too long until I'm back in work!
  21. Adelaide - Were not shipping anything, staying with friends initially when we arrive. My husband has work lined up.
  22. Not to be intrusive just wondering how much people moved to Aus with. We have around £15k and i'm stressing. I guess you just manage with what you have! Thanks
  23. Form 80 is a character form, 20 pages long and took us ages to fill in for both of us! If you google it, the form comes up so you can have a look what's on it. Our agent didn't front load this as it isn't always requested x
