  1. Hey has anyone been allocated a case officer yet? X
  2. We submitted on the 8th for South Australia, no CO yet. 5 weeks on Friday and according to guidelines on Immi website, allocation of CO is within 7 weeks so shouldn't be too long now!
  3. Don't go by the Immi one, I had exactly the same panic!! we used xe.com to exchange and that was accurate for the amount that actually came off my card. We had 2 adults and 1 under 18. We got charged £108 charge a couple of days later by our card issuer x
  4. Think I have asked this before, if so can someone let me know, thank you x
  5. Thanks everyone! Glad to be going somewhere that people recommend! :-) xxx
  6. Hi! We have booked our meds for 2nd Jan at Bridgewater Hospital Manchester, we are seeing Dr Millon, has anyone had their meds done here? Thanks!
  7. KeiraFlynn, Go Matilda are brilliant, we have just submitted our visa with them x
  8. Were using them at the minute, recently submitted our visa and have all been fine! We have paid them £2100 + VAT on top of all other costs but in the long run i personally am glad we did as i wouldn't have a clue where to start!
  9. I'm not sure as our agent submitted ours and just us a copy of the receipt and email from DIAC confirming our application had been deemed as a valid application! Can you not up your limit or get a credit card for the amount? I think you may be able to use Visa debit too, but not 100% sure on that. If you go on the Immigration site it does list what payment methods are accepted.
  10. The amount is deducted when you submit, so yes immediately. :-) we submitted on the 8th Nov
  11. What agent are you with? Are they Mara registered? Were with Go Matilda and they have been brilliant.
  12. We submitted our visa on 8th November for SA on a 190 for bricklaying using Go Matilda :-) (ashleigh 24 Jamie 31 and Mia 2)
  13. Not sure about ACT but SA took a while - we applied 19th aug and got the invitation 2nd Oct
  14. Thanks sideshowdeb! I think we're going to the Bridgewater hospital in Manchester and according to their site you can carry out medicals with a TRN number, so seems you can have it done prior to a CO assigned!
  15. Hi, is there a way of getting medicals done before getting assigned a case officer? We have submitted our visa, I was going to wait until medicals were requested but a lot of people seem to do them before they are requested. Just wondering how you go about this and if it is advised? Thanks
  16. Hi Jojo, We've gone through Go Matilda, as far as I know they have uploaded all docs as they requested them and we've sent off for police checks for UK and Aus and my partner has lived in Aus for more than 12 months in the past 10 years. We were going to wait until we are requested to have medicals, I didn't know you could get them done after submitting a visa before CO requests them! What about you?
  17. Hi all, Does anyone know if there is a thread for this? We have submitted our visa this week so would be nice to keep on touch with people on a similar timescale. Thanks

    Kids Medical

Hi, We have just submitted our 190 visa application, we have sent off for our police checks but are waiting until are medicals get requested until we do them. My 2 year old daughter had an operation on her hip as her hip wasn't in the socket, she had the op in June this year and was in a cast for 15 weeks but is now out of this, she is fine now albeit a little limp that the consultant has said will go in around 6-12 months. I was just wondering what the medical involves for children, and if anyone thinks my daughters may be referred because of this? I was thinking of asking our consultant for a letter to confirm her operation and confirm the result etc so it can be sent off with her medical. Any advice would be appreciated.
