We used Go Matilda last year (got our PR visa in Jan) as a couple who knew nothing about the visa process and reading about horror stories of people going alone, making mistakes and getting it refused we decided to use an agent as we couldn't afford to mess it up! We paid around £2200 + VAT (if my memory serves me right) but they were brilliant! This forum is a great help for questions but knowing you have an expert on hand to contact puts your mind at rest, and trust me, i asked looooooads! and they were also so nice and helpful both on the phone and email. I'm not saving an agent is for everyone but for us it was :-)

Well i certainly wasn't being rude and never have been in any of my posts on this forum. I also thought people in the UK might know if they have returned from oz and had experience with child care etc. Nevermind eh.

Hi Bubble, thank you for your response! Keen to get work started but also conscious the cost of full time long day care is very expensive, I thought what we pay now was high! Blossom - It doesn't necessarily need a reply from anyone just in Adelaide, we're not all familiar with the exact sections in which posts come under as you are as a moderator. As you put it, we are not that dedicated to the forum, I put it in the one that I thought it came under. I don't think there was a need to make reference to it when you could go just have politely moved it, I've seen many a post moved without comment.

Hi, we fly out to Adelaide on 1st June, we want to register our daughter in full time day care as we will be working full time. We have got all info signed by the GP confirming her immunisations. I know they have to be up to date with jabs etc before you are eligible for child care benefit. We have found a day care we like and have made an appointment to visit - if we take a place and contact centre link will they decline our claim as our daughter won't be on the register straight away? Thanks

Hi, we we used an agent and we paid in stages according to what process we were at, we weren't asked to pay everything upfront. We we also got our PR visa based on bricklaying from my husband, he had to do a skills test and provide certificates of uk qualifications, references, self assessment etc. Lots of documents to provide. May be worth digging everything out to see what you have if you want to do it based on your skills and speak to an agent, when your not sure what your doing they're a god send, certainly for us. Thanks londongal! We're travelling with a 3 year old so good news about the entertainment! I'm sure I read somewhere about them having wifi too. They were quite a lot cheaper than the other airlines so wondered if they were as good but they sound better so I'm happy now - phew! X

Hi! It's very tedious and not always requested! We used an agent and we weren't told to fill in it as they don't always require it, but they did request it from both of us, neither of us have any convictions or criminal past etc so think it may just depend on case officer!

Hi, Our daughter has a hip condition which we were also worried out. We asked her consultant to provide a letter detailing all her surgery and information etc and we took that along with us to the medical and the doctor actually scanned that in and submitted it with her medical. Medical was fine, no delays or anything and we all had our PR visa's a couple of weeks after. We used an agent and just mentioned it before just in case they thought it might make the process a bit more complex but was fine - phew!

Hi all! we are moving to Adelaide and have enrolled our daughter in a long day care centre in a lovely suburb which we saw on our validation trip! She is 2.5! Obviously here she goes to nursery. Will what she be going to now be referred as kindy or is that when she is a little older? I've seen so many different terms I was a bit confused!

Does anyone know if they have any centres like that in Adelaide?

Would be interested to know if there is anything additional as also emigrating with a toddler on a 190! I have got a letter from GP with a list of all immunisations, it was suggested by some PIO members to just take her red book, which i will but the handwriting in it is terrible, you can't make anything out which is why i got the letter to be on the safe side!

We used Go Matilda and received our PR visa in January. Can honestly not recommend them highly enough! The information they provided us with initially when we first approached them before paying them anything was very informative. Excellent all round!

We lodged 190 in Nov and got our grant 20th Jan - c/o requested additional docs from us also. Took 13 days from c/o being allocated to us getting our grant. Good Luck
