  1. All of my docs that are being sent off for skills assessment, so copies of qualifications, etc
  2. Thanks guys, all very helpful.
  3. That great news Steve! A few quick ones, how long did it take from submitting your documents to you being given an interview? And who did you do the skills assessment process with? Cheers
  4. Which recognized training organization have people gone with and had good experiences? I am looking at visaskills.com and vetassess. Thanks
  5. Thank you so much, I look forward to it!
  6. Hi guys, Silly question I know, but who can certify your visa documents? 'Any person or agency recognised by the law of the country in which you live can certify documents.' Is this Police officers, solicitors etc? Thanks in advance
  7. Thanks Steve that was so helpful. Just getting myself in a pickle stressing! Just want everything to go perfectly.
  8. Hi steveinmunich, what was involved in your interview?
  9. Hi guys. This is all very useful information for me. I am currently gathering all of my paperwork together to apply for my skills assessment (Carpentry), just basically stressing myself about everything(really, really want to emigrate). Any advice and information would be so helpful. for example which companies have you gone with for skills assessment (currently looking at Australian construction training services (ACTS). What documents I need? what the technical interviews are like? Bearing in mind I have only been in this trade for 5 years. Thank you so much, hope you are all successful!
  10. Right I see, I need 20 points from that section so i guess thats above 8's in all categories. Yes it is TRA, I was just wondering if every assessment through TRA was the same, or whether some have to be interviewed, some interviewed and have a practical, or none at all?
  11. Hi I Am currently at the start of applying for the 189 visa process an would just like to know peoples experiences of the skills assessments and what is involved in that process, rough time frames and so on. I am a qualified carpenter, have previously worked in Australia for around 8 months in this trade and have experience in joinery. Is an IELTS test applicable to everyone regardless of academic results? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
