can i start my second visa a few years after my first?

Ok cheers for that. Yeah i got all the paper work. I looked at the website but it wasnt very clear. I think i apply for it in UK? Probably still have to be younger than 30 aswell. -
My first whv runs out in August but im thinking of leaving in about a month. Can i come back to australia in a few years instead of doing two years in a row? Would i have to apply for it in australia or in uk? Cheers

So if i got a wwoof job from gumtree, i would still need a wwoof number?

Thinking of signing up to wwoofing.com.au but is it just for the book? Or do you need to be a member to do wwoofing work found elsewhere? Cheers, Andy

cant log on to NAB, so how do i know if moneys gone through?

Will they send me an email, im still in UK. What do you mean by this margin rate? Banks take 5% of the exchange rate for themselves? -
I set up a classic and isaver account with NAB. they sent me my account details. Ive sent some money over with moneycorp, but i cant log on to my NAB account until ive got my bank card. So how do i know its gone through? I have noticed something very important with money corp though. They offer free money transfers for pomsinoz users. But they offer a lower exchange rate than the acutal exchange rate, thats how they make money. So if you are sending over several grand you could be losing out on 100 pound. Im not sure what exchange rates your bank will offer but it might be worth the 10-20 they charge to make transfers.

150-250 there is a large variation but it depends what you want covered. Think about what youre going to be doing but also you never know what will happen.

Cheers guys! Gonna apply for nab

Im taking my tablet, not insuring it. Regularly back everything up online, you can also get trackers, other sequrity apps if anything happens to it.

I chose 24-7 travel insurance, theyre the cheapest i could find and also cover everything i could think of

I will be looking for mainly farm, grounds keeping jobs but will probably be doing anything i can get. I am going to apply for a nab bank account but they charge $9 to deposit a cheque. So am i going to get caught out here or do most jobs pay directly into my account? Cheers, Weetoz

Starting my working holiday visa on August 13th! General advice =]
weetoz replied to DanJay's topic in Visitor Visas
Check on your airlines website for bag sizes and weights -
Nab have no monthly fees. The others have monthly fees of about $4-$6 if you deposit less than $2000 a month

Thanks for your advice! I'm prepared for the hard work, just not the heat! In the middle of no where is the main reason that im going to australia, just as long as the wage prevents me from cutting into my savings. Yeah ive already looked on them websites, thats why i asked on here. cheers, andy.

Cheers for that!

I was originally planning to go in June but have been delayed possibly until december. I know it will be a lot warmer then but does it also affect what farm jobs will be available? Specifically chainsawing, wipper snipping, weed spraying also tractor driving and shearing sheep. Because of the temperature difference i was thinking of going to victoria instead of queensland but will the lack of farm jobs be worth not dying of heat stroke? cheers, andy

I've heard they don't sell fosters in australia either

What working hostels did you try? I know a few

Here are some contact details for working hostels in Queensland. I've been told they are a good place to start. Does anyone know anymore or if these ones are any good? Cheers, Andy The Bogie River Bush House 'Bush Retreat' - bogierbh@tpg.com.au Ayr Backpackers - ayrbackpackers.com.au Barnacles Backpackers - barnaclesbackpackers.com Delta Backpackers - reception@deltabackpackers.com

Just looked for a few working hostel places, seems a really good place to start!
-
Cheers for the advice chloe and quinn. I will check out the working hostels, wheres the best place to start looking? I will have a look on gumtree aswell. Im very flexible where location is concerned, i would just like to know where to start! With jobs its definitely farm work or something outdoors, its not like anyone goes to australia for the weather But obviously prepared to do whatever it takes just to get some money.
-
Cheers for that quinn. Ive noticed a lot of the farm hand jobs i would be suitable for are in NSW or a few in QLD which are areas id like to go to. But say if i start off there and get an interview thats several hundred miles away, how much are we talking in time and travel costs? What are Australias rail systems like? Does one go through every town like in britain? Cheers, Andy

Cheers, what do you mean by an agent? Ive been looking on TAW and jobsearch.gov.au, are they agents?
