I will Keith. I do drive in Sydney but because of my visa I can't change to an Aussie licence until I've been here 6 months which is soon! I have my mail redirected at the mo but that expires in August! I'm sure there will be a simple solution I'm just a natural worrier lol

No and my family are here on a 457 visa so we may have to go back to the UK.

My uk driving licence expires in October and it's still registered to my old address which has now got tenant in! I've tried changing the address on the licence to my mums on mygov but it won't let me because there linked and suggestions? I really don't want the renewal going to my tenants! Thanks xx

I got pulled by the police in nsw for doing an illegal right turn and I just got a fine ($230 I think!) the police officer told me that they couldn't add the demerits to a uk lincence. I questioned what would happen if I was pulled a few times and he told me I would receive a telling me that I could no longer drive in nsw. I know each states different and if I was you I'd give them a ring and ask for clarification. Hope I've been of some help xx

We brought our nearly 14 year old dog over and other than weight loss you wouldn't know wed been apart from her! She's so happy here! I think the good weather must be good for her old bone! Xxx

Good luck! I'm just in caringbah South! We love the area and we often go to lilli pilli swimming and there's a brilliant coffee/florists shop. I can't help much with high school as my two are only 5 and nearly 7.

We live in the nicest area! People have come and introduced themselves and always stop to talk. Our next door neighbours are brilliant! Just hoping the landlord will extend our tenancy :-D

We used crown and they were brillian both in the uk and Sydney! Nothing broken and on time! My husbands work paid for the 20ft container we also used the premium insrance. It was just over £5000

They can't go to school until it's payed in full! My little ones just started year one and my youngest starts kindy in February!

I've a few weeks left until my 6 year old starts school and my five year old is with me until he starts full time school! I've been doing lots of exploring using public transport (I've not got a car) and I wondered where are your favourite places to take the kids :-)

Hi rupert, our dog is a staff cross but looks more like a mini lab! I've made a rental pack too including refreces from friends to say that our dogs well behaved and our house is well looked after! We are looking at between $500 and $600 a week! If the property doesn't state I ring or email to check! Don't get me wrong some of the real estate girls seam nice! I fact I spent a while talking to one yesterday about the area and schools but a lot seam like teenage girls that couldn't give a hoot! The 100 points is all I've heard since we got here lol! I just send them everything I have!

I'm a landlord myself and the house I've left in the uk is perfect! I know some dogs do damage properties and I can understand the risk for a landlord! My poor dog is 13 and has never caused any damage! I've got my friends to give references which the have all put how well behaved our dog is and how clean and well looked after our house is! My main issues is the fact that most of the houses we have seen I wouldn't even put my dog in nevermind my 2 young children! I see lots of dogs around so where do they live! I'll try some of your ideas and offer a larger bond! thanks for all your replies, I just want some where nice to live for my family! And if my dog did damage any thing I would expect to get the bill or to put it right.

My family and I have been in sydney just over 4 week staying in temporary accommodation while we secure a house! We are finding it impossible with the 100 point check and the fact we have a small dog (who comes out of quarantine on the 29th) The houses that will allow a dog are I'm my opinion disgusting and not habitable! I thought oz was an animal loving nation? we are looking at living in the shires area and would love any advice! I'm feeling very unsettled and miserable about the whole thing :-(

I'm the same! Lurked since Christmas but only just made any comments. We will have been in sydney 3 weeks on tue so not long lol! Im herewith my husband and 2 young children! We are trying to find a rental at the mo that takes pet and finding the selection to be quite shocking! Do you like Melbourne? Me friend is moving there after Christmas, her husband is from there! Hi! I'm Alison, my family and I have just moved to sydney and currently living in temp accommodation until we find a house. We are hoping to settle in the Caringbah area but staying at Brighton le sands at the mo. I would love to me others for support and friendship.
