  7. May I ask in your thread Tulip, Once we are in Australia and later the visa is granted, we will need to leave Australia for 3 days and go to New zeland lets say... As I am not from the UK, could I enter New Zeland with an Australian tourist visa? Now visas are electronically sent, why do we need to go overseas?
  8. I have the same situation as Tulip. In the website they showed a new changes for tourist visas... From 23 March 2013, visitors seeking a new visa to enter Australia for non-work purposes will need to apply for a new Visitor (Subclass 600) visa. http://www.uk.embassy.gov.au/lhlh/Visas_and_Migration.html
  9. Thanks! well I am not from the UK so they may ask me for medicals, but my question is, will the recent medicals results help for the tourist visa? will they copy one for me for that tourist visa? or will I have to do it again? becuase you are saying it can be used only once. Some countries need to do medical and police checks for a tourist visa.
  10. Finally I sent the application last week I am planning to apply for a tourist visa later before the grant of the partner visa, I was reading in their website and mention to do medical and police checks depending in the country you are from so I would need to do it ;/ Now I would like to ask you if I apply for the tourist visa around July, 3 months after I submitted the partner visa, I guess I could do the medicals, should I inform the CO or who that I need also the medicals for the tourist visa , can they(the doctors) make a copy? I dont have any idea. Other thing I'd like to ask you guys, once I get the tourist visa, do I have to buy return ticket to the UK? we dont plan to move back to the UK. Thank you once again!xxx
  11. Do you maybe have the list of people who can sign? for example a doctor or dentist could sign as witness?
  12. Do we actually need to have a statutory declaration? as in the booklet 1 says..."The statements written by you and your partner can be on ordinary writing paper or a statutory declaration form may be used."
  13. Hi, sorry to ask another question, I would like to ask, in the statement or statutory declaration written by the applicant and the sponsor for the partner visa, it says it has to be signed by a witness. My question is who can sign this? Thanks
  14. Thank you! well I guess we can complete the payment mandate, is it safe to send this by post?

  17. Thanks Becky!!!!!!! does "activates the visa" means to enter for first time to Australia? Hopefully someone can help us answer, xxx
  18. Hello everyone, I am glad to find this forum, very uselful. Can anyone help me with this, My partner has been granted Permanent Resident visa to Australia this week, but he did not inlcude me in that time, he just updated that he is in a de facto relationship, so now he needs to make his first entry before this year but in the visa conditions says" must not marry before entering Australia", we dont plan to marry but to start applying for my visa, The doubts we have is that with that condition in the visa , will I be able to apply for my visa? or he needs to enter Australia first? we would like to enter together. Thank you for your help. The holder of the visa must not marry before entering Australia.
