  1. No cost for public hospital as all covered by Medicare, I had a normal delivery and absolutely Zero Cost:) Aussie Girl Bay
  2. I had a great pregnancy/birth experience in one of the Australian Public Hospital, everybody was simply professional. I am so grateful to all the midwives, doctor for being so supportive throughout...I don't think I could have a normal delivery without their care/support, after birth care was particularly great, no rush at all, they made sure I was well trained for breastfeeding. All the midwives are still in touch with us and often come to visit my lil' one Good Luck!! Aussie Girl Bay
  3. If you are a citizen or PR holder you don't have to pay anything, it's all been taken care by Medicare for Public hospital. Aussie Girl Bay
  4. They very rarely change the Initial Entry Date, you probably have to provide plenty evidences from hospital/Doctor proper reasoning etc. Aussie Girl Bay
  5. Hi Abel, I think once the Initial Assessment is done and case goes to the Final Decision then CO can't tell you exactly how long it will take.I remember just one day before my grant I asked my CO few times about exact visa grant day but she refused to answer and kept saying 'it will take some time' and next day I got it so not sure how their system works. 6. Hi Abel Sorry I only checked forum/post today so couldn't get back earlier. Yeah it's perfectly fine to call & inquire about applicant/sponsor relationship that's why they ask for Form 888 Well no one can tell you the exact time, you would be lucky to get the grant in few days but I guess this is just an Initial Assessment, once this is complete your case will be forwarded for Final Decision which may take time. Good Luck! Aussie Girl Bay
  7. You don't need insurance, it's all covered with Medicare. Good Luck! Aussie Girl Bay
  8. Wish & hope this comes true:) The standard processing time is 12 months for Partner Visa, however, female applicants do get their grants within 4-8 months time. If your file is Decision Ready as you 've already submitted all docs upfront then it should not take long but this definitely do not mean 15 days or 1 month, I mean there is a procedure which has to be followed in all cases. Mine was a Decision Ready file except Medical which was requested after 4 months, and after submission I got me grant in 20 days. Good Luck! Aussie Girl Bay
  9. When did you apply? Usually CO only contact applicants when they want more docs/info, PCC, medical etc, they don't update applicants at all stages so I think you should sit back & relax. If they need any further docs for sure they will contact only you. If you are a Female Applicant then you should get your grant between 6-8 month, however, 12 months is the standard processing time. 10. It's clearly mentioned in Visitor Visa -Sponsor section: Who Can Sponsor: A sponsor must: be an Australian citizen or permanent resident be older than 18 years of age have been settled in Australia for a reasonable period (usually more than two years). Aussie Girl Bay
  11. Sorry to hear this but yeah as an Sponsor for Visitor Visa you have to meet 2 year 'Usual Resident' criteria. Previous visa rejection won't effect your Partner Visa Application, however, visitor visa can be denied again as still you will be her main sponsor and you don't meet the usual resident criteria. 12. 1: AHC has made some changes in last few months, now they request for Medical Examination right after submitting your application. So for new applicants this is all normal. 2: Usually applicant will get Initial Entry Date based on PCC or Medical expiry date, whichever expires first. So roughly it is 6 months to 1 year. Hope this helps. Aussie Girl Bay
  13. 'If the applicant does not meet the health requirement and the waiver is unavailable or not exercised, then under the Migration Regulations the application must be refused.' check this link: https://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sheets/22health.htm#e Aussie Girl Bay

  15. Hi I never got any interview call nor was asked for any further documents, infact the last thing they asked me was to send them new PCC which I did in 2 days, and in next 16 days I got me grant. usually CO contact if he/she needs some clarification/info/further docs, if CO don't contact then nothing to worry, it only means that all your paperwork is good enough for them to understand. In anyway, if you 've a genuine relationship then there is no reason for them to refuse so relax, I know it's difficult infact very hard to stay away from your partner but should look at it positively & enjoy your time. 16. This is the procedure to get PCC from Pakistan: 'Relevant document: ‘Police Certificate’. Citizens and non-citizens living in Pakistan: Apply in person or by mail to the District Superintendent of Police at your place of residence or former residence. Non-residents: Apply to the nearest Pakistan embassy or consulate in your country of residence. Citizens: provide the application form and your ID card. Resident non-citizens: provide the application form and your residence permit. Non-resident non-citizens: provide the application form and details of your addresses and periods of residence in Pakistan. The application form is available at local police stations. If it is not available, a letter may be accepted. Note: applicants without formal residence permits will be unable to obtain a police certificate.' Hope this helps. Aussie Girl Bay
  17. You very welcome Yeah ofcourse you can send company letter, this should work I guess. Good Luck! Girl Aussie
  18. Which city in particular? Has she not got one while filing for her Partner Visa? Aussie Girl Bay
  19. thank you for your kind suggestion..... I also couldn't find any good fish & chip shop here, I read your post last night and persuaded my husband to take me to Chumley Warner, it took me exactly an hour from me place but literally worth it.... I just can't believe I had 'British Fish & Chips' after such a longgggg time... Really they had 'real chips'....Had 'irn-bru' too:p thank you again.... I will go regularly now Aussie Girl Bay
  20. Hi chintuacharya10 this is a pretty interesting reason, I can't say anything but looks like AHC consider study, job, kids etc as compelling reason to return to your country. Even if we say 'our partner visa is in progress & we will come back' they don't consider it. I am just thinking may be instead of applying from Pakistan your husband can apply from Australia, DIAC may ask for AUD5000 as bond, check this link: https://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/679.aspx Hope this helps. Good Luck! Aussie Girl Bay
  21. Hi, First of all, sit relax and don't think too much. Your case is in progress and eventually you will get your grant so nothing to worry. Usually Case Officer only contacts when they have any doubts or require further documents otherwise they don't necessarily contact applicant. As per me understanding if you have already done medical & submit PCC with your application then you should have your grant soon, processing time from Pakistan is 12 months however most female applicants have their visa within 4-8 months so have some patience please. As far as your visit visa is concerned, yes AHC has a valid reason of rejecting just like yours of visiting Australia. While your case is in progress you 've very strong ties in Australia which may become the biggest reason for you not leaving while on visitor visa i.e pregnancy, illness, emotional reason etc. I don't know your circumstances (particularly your inlaws situation) so can't really advise but I would say hang in there, you are not far from your grant, everything happens for a reason which we realize later only. Learn to deal with your current situation and have strong faith in God, this is just a phase which will end eventually and you will be here soon. if you need any support/assistance just pm me. Best, Aussie Girl Bay
