  1. Still need a goalkeeper mate? I'm looking for a game of 5 a side once a week!
  2. Perfect thanks. Now all I need is to buy my Victory top and I'm set
  3. Oh is that what you were referring to? Of course I remember her, how could I forget someone who thought they can earn $200/300 a day picking fruit Anyway, I came on here to offer people tickets on behalf of a mate, and got 3 people jumping down my throat, so I reacted. I class a tout as someone who makes a living off doing what my mate is doing regularly. I'd say being left out of pocket by people screwing him over, and needing to make some money for when he gets home is a bit different personally. each to their own though. But I'm sure you 3 fellas have always been absolute saints all your lives, no matter what situation you have been in.. No one asked for your opinion on touts, just if you needed tickets I knew someone. I've got to buy a Melbourne v Liverpool ticket from a tout because I missed out on them, am I crying about it? No, I'm just happy I still have the option to go
  4. Cheers Ronan. My mate has just bought another 5. Might get in on the action myself
  5. Fruit picker? What has that got to do with anything? "Ya fruitcake" haha, didn't realise you were 13.
  6. I'm not going to explain myself or what my mate (yes Tonyman, he does actually exist, but great assumption otherwise) is doing. No one wants them on here, cool. I hope he sells all 7 for a grand a piece an makes a fortune now. Enjoy the game on TV lads. I'll be on the half way line at the Etihad thinking of you all. To make it worse, I don't even like rugby, so there is another seat took from a proper fan missing out. Take care gents. Phil
  7. He isn't a tout, he's been let down by "mates" and is now over $2000 out of pocket, as well as being in Melbourne and not Sydney. He is selling these 7 to buy 2 for Melbourne, and make himself some money before he head back to the UK unemployed. Not that that is anyone's business or he has to justify himself. But thanks for the comments
  8. My mate still has 7 platinum tickets for the Sydney test if anyone is interested. None of them are seated together (apart from 2 that are a few seats aprt on the same row). Originally $300 each, he wants $600 each, or a bit less if anyone wants to buy a couple at a time.
  9. He hasn't tried to swap then yet, but still has 7 Sydney tickets available. I keep telling him to sort it, I will let you know if he does swap them.
  10. Only been here 6 months on a WHV (about to get a 457, then hopefully PR), and always planned on staying given the chance. Then in the darker moments I've realised in the back of my mind, I'd always expected to go back "home." Maybe underestimated the homesickness, maybe just seems a way out if things didn't work here. Either way, the lure of going back is massive, until I remember the reasons I wanted to be here in the first place.
  11. Love all sports and will watch/play anything and everything, but I can't see AFL being any more than a vague interest to me. Going the MCG with 90,000 people was a good experience, but that's all it was. Unfortunately I'm still setting my alarm for 4:30am to watch Arsenal, and I can't see that ever changing!
  12. Yeah I agree. I hate when I can't get to concerts and gigs because all the touts have took them. We are both going the Melbourne test, my mate is a massive fan, I'm more going for the experience. I'll be in touch with you if he manages to swap the Sydney ones for Melbourne if you are still interested. I know for a fact they'll be over face value because he's heading back to the UK in July so he needs the money. Not sure how much he wants. I'll be in touch Briman. Cherrs, Phil
  13. Don't worry i'm fully aware, just trying to help a friend out. Point is the Sydney test has the chance of being pointless, therefore the 7x$300 tickets he bought could well be worth $10 each if it is 2-0 by then! He leaves a week after the Melbourne test too which complicates things further. These damn backpackers haha
  14. I've just put a post up with tickets for sale if anyone is interested
  15. By the way, we are both going the Melbourne test already, so any fans fancy a drink around that time, get in touch!
  16. Posting this on behalf of my friend who is down in Foster, Vic working on a farm to gain his 2nd WHV. I'm based in South Yarra, Melbourne. He has 7 tickets (due to be posted to him soon) for the SYDNEY test (6th July) at ANZ Stadium. They were $300 each, platinum reserved seats, and both they Sydney and Melbourne tests are sold out. Basically, if anyone is interested in either test, then let me know. Once the tickets are in hand we are trying to possibly swap the Sydney ones for Melbourne, as we are both here so it makes it easier face to face etc. Or if there are people who want the Sydney tickets, then get in touch. Not sure about prices yet, but if anyone wants to PM me or email an offer, and i@ll pass everything on. Thanks, Phil
  17. Yes, you go onto the 457 visa as well. Can work for whoever, for as long as the visa is valid. Not 6 months maximum like the working holiday visa
  18. A mate here in Melbourne bought 9. We have one each for Melbourne, but the other 7 are for the Sydney test. He's trying to swap them for Melbourne, then sell them on. They're $300 platinum tickets, not sure what he wants for them yet. How many do you need?
  19. Hoping to get my clubs sent over in the next month or so, so might join you guys!
  20. I'm definitely up for that mate! There's a game every Saturday at Fawkner Park on Toorak Road I'm going to start, and I'm going to train with a few teams. Let me know how you get on with numbers!
  21. I've just had my pretty large toolbox and drill (26kg), about £500 worth, cost me £240 to have them flew over within 5 days. Can be cheaper to send over if they're shipped as well
  22. They're a bit too far out of the city for us, but thanks anyway! Looking for more St Kilda/Richmond/Cremorne/Burwood if possible.
  23. Hi everyone. Me and my girlfriend are moving to Melbourne from Sydney in 3 weeks time (Thursday 2nd May we arrive), and was wondering if anyone had any rooms/apartments/studios to rent out? Haven't tried the usual avenues yet like gumtree, real estate websites yet. Will consider anything so let me know please! Thanks, Phil
  24. Should get there Tuesday 30th. Going to drive it because of all the stuff we've accumulated! Will be in touch nearer the time mate! Know a few people already there so we'll get something going!
  25. Not sure yet, handed our notice in our flat in Sydney, so gonna start looking for a flatshare soon. Hoping to get to St Kilda maybe, anywhere close to the city really! We're both from Liverpool by the way!
