Leaving for Mexico for 2 weeks 22nd dec, this maybe our last Xmas in UK or could have another one left, I like the run upto Xmas and the day but after that i find it depressing looking at the tree thinking about taking it down, so this year I will be spending it at the beach, by the pool, doing no cooking, washing or tidying up ..... I will be in heaven this Xmas

Hi We also applied for a 489 visa and the processing times for this and 190 should be 6months, copy link to website. It shows in priority group 3 for the skillselect 489 visa http://www.immi.gov.au/about/charters/client-services-charter/visas/8.0.htm

We are using go Matilda I would recommend them.

Hi Louise did you sign a contract at the start? We did with our agent, if you did just read the T's & C's, yes they are charging way over what other agents do and have the cheek to charge per phone call, go back over every email they sent to see if there is anyway you can get out! christine

It is nice to see an honest account of daily life without the negativity, sounds lovely and just a normal day for you makes me jealous the last time I commented on someone's post who had put a positive description of oz on I got told I had a warped view, there can be a lot of negativity on here so it is good for us ( who have not yet moved ) to see comments from people who are enjoying oz :biggrin:

my hubby's in construction but it was all civil so no good for us. So has your OH job been taken off now? Does this mean you can't apply? Sorry you prob have posted this info before but only just started coming on again recently

When did you go the the manchester expo Stacey? We went in march and thats when we well and truly made the decision to go for it after also visiting oz the year before. Found the visa info helpful but nothing there for us in terms of employers.

Hoff just out of interest why have you got a title? Like forum guide, PIO chatterbox etc... Feel free to add some more, be nice though
