  1. Thanks for your help bob. That's a huge relief. My vets calling defra first thing in the morning to ask why they hadn't received it with the export certificate, now I know why. I'll get in touch with him first thing.
  2. Hi there, My dog is flying out on Monday night. I thought I had all paperwork sorted but now i'm on a panic as I have realised my vet hasn't given me the form 618 NDC. Is this an important part of paperwork? I'm panicking now think the vet may have lost it. Also, his vaccinations have been written in a pet passport, is this ok for the paperwork requirment? Any help would be much appreciated as I am in a real panic now and have thoughts going in my head that he's going to be refused.
  3. I'd like to add my stats too as i've just been granted, yay! 5 and a half months, completely out of the blue I got my email. And it was the 100! I had VF. My advise is as Kylz said, make sure you have everything they ask for, do as they say regards to meds and police checks and don't bother emailing them all the time as I don't think it helps. I emailed once throughout the application and I'm happy with the speed I got my grant. Australia in August!
  4. I applied in December. Got told it'd be 8-9 months. Got an email after sending my police checks the other day, she said not to contact her regarding processing times but said the wait time now is looking like 9 months. It's so frustrating as it keeps getting longer. I'm entering aus in the last week of july so hoping it will be granted before then, fingers crossed!
  5. I did contact my case officer when i received one and gave her all the information. She replied but didn't ask me to fill any forms in. As far as I'm concerned, she knows about any changes that have happened and as far as I'm aware, hasn't caused any issues.
  6. Hi, They received my application on the 3rd December, money taken the same day. I didn't get my confirmation email from VF until 11th December. She also advised me on not getting my medicals done until the beginning of march as the wait is now 8-9 months.
  7. Hi, I lodged my application for defacto visa offshore last week. My partner was in the UK when we lodged it and have stated we were living together at the time. I have sent evidence of us living together for the past 6 years, civil partnership, joint bank account, bills, tenancy agreement etc. Now my partner has left for Australia as I can't go yet. Do I need to notify immigration about this as we are now living apart? Do they check if she's still in the country? Do I ask if I can have a tourist visa if my visa takes longer than expected? I havn't been assigned a case worker yet. Any help would be great.
  8. That's great thanks. I applied offshore. They were quick enough to take the money out the account. Just thought they'd send it on just as quick.
  9. Hi there, I finally sent off my defacto visa application last week. They received it on 3rd December and took the payment the same day. I have not anything from them, through the post or email. How long does it, on average, take them to respond? Any help would be appreciated as i'm a stress head and don't like not knowing lol Cheers
  10. Thanks very much for your help. So if I get it granted before she goes, the six months apart won't affect it?
  11. Hi there, I was just wondering if any of you guys could me with my situation. I'm British and partner is Australian. I've have been with my partner for 6 and half years, lived together nearly 6. We got a civil partnership nearly 5 years ago. We've been through the process of getting my partner indefinite leave to remain 3 years ago. My situation is, my partner wants to move back to Australia in December, had enough of the rubbish weather and being away from family. I've agreed to move there but not until July 2013 due to commitments here. It's going to be very difficult to be apart but understand her decision. I need to know would the time apart cause a problem with applying for a defacto visa? should i apply now and hope it comes through before she leaves? If granted, is there a time frame in which you need to be in Australia to activate the visa? Should I just apply for WHV and apply for defacto there? Sorry for all the questions, just not sure what to do, any help would be much appreciated.
