1.

6 The curriculum of your program of study focused on the various aspects of nursing practice. A translated copy of the course or unit outlines certified by your education provider/institution.

I Just sent my course transcript which contained all theory topics/hours studied and clinical placements/hours plus exam results etc. I can't think of anything else you could add to be honest. Maybe try to phone them (laughing hysterically as I type) and ask to clarify...also for an extension if needed.

8 The education institution that provided the program of study, and confirmed your qualification, has certified that you have successfully completed an assessment in medication management including drug calculation, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (if this information is not included in the academic transcript). See Fact sheet - IQNM criterion 8: registered nurse and midwife. Make sure your education institution provides AHPRA with the necessary information. Certification from your education institution, provided directly to AHPRA, that you successfully completed your course of study which covered medication management including drug calculation, pharmacokinetics(the study of the bodily absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of drugs and pharmacodynamics (the study of the biochemical and physiological effects of drugs and the mechanisms of their action in the body).

everything it says on the tin! you might need to give blood...or organs! I asked a uni tutor for a letter stating all relevant information re cr8 as AHPRA weren't happy with just my transcript for this criterion. I also asked NMC to forward all nursing records they had. The AHPRA email should cover you as I am Oct 13 applicant too. I got an automated reply.
2. I managed to get hold of a senior registration officer at AHPRA yesterday. Only took 4 weeks! Apparently my application has been completed its assessment with AHPRA and now forwarded to NMBA for decision. I asked if that means my DipHe qualification was insufficient for registration with AHPRA and the NMBA would assess suitability for bridging "yes" I was then told that AHPRA don't provide a decision on registration, only a recommendation to NMBA based on their assessment, and that NMBA make the decision to register, refuse or refer for bridging. My application will be assessed on 7th Aug...hope they mean this year .... and I will have a final decision two weeks later (ish)
3. Maybe we should be asking What is Happening with PIO???? members posts have been removed and it seems whole pages have vanished??
4. Hi, our family has recently moved to Victoria from Scotland. We are looking to buy a sole trader business locally but have a few questions.... Is there a site like Company house in Victoria to obtain records about the business? Do you have to pay any tax/duty when purchasing a business? ... Rough estimate of accountant/solicitor costs for assessment/sale are there transfer fees to change ownership?
5. I am hoping to hear something this week/early next week. They set a deadline of 19th Jun to make a decision on my case, (they chose to extend the assessment period). They haven't contacted me to extend it again....yet! but as it is tomorrow, I am hoping this will be result time. I am hoping for a yes, expecting a no and a suggestion of bridging
6. Kellyv Funny enough, I was contacted by AHPRA yesterday asking form my transcript....again. This will be the fourth time it has been sent to them since Nov 13. Funny how they confirmed all my stuff arrived last month and now it is mysteriously lost???
7. Hi, I always say Melbourne but we are on the peninsular in Frankston. I applied for a couple of pca jobs at local aged care facilities. Had an interview last week and start on Monday. I had to provide my training cert and transcripts I also gave them a copy of ANMAC letter stating my qualification was assessed and equal to Aus qualification. They were happy to take me as a PCA on a casual basis, but so far it looks like 20+ hrs per week. The hope being that I stay on once my Div 1 is through. If it ever actually goes through.
8. I qualified in 01 so my uni didn't have much information available when I approached them about the new criterions. They managed to organise basic course details and a senior lecturer prepared a letter detailing what the course content should have included. I also got NMC to forward all course details they had. Doubt I have enough to cover the dreaded cr 8 ??? oh well! The last letter stated they applied an extension to my application assessment..... mid June 14. I am guessing they are going to wait until the set date before contacting me with a decision. application sent Nov 13, CR info request Mar 14... deadline Apr 14....decision deadline Jun 14 I have been living in Melbourne since April while waiting for the decision. I have managed to get casual work as a PCA meantime, this is torture. I have looked into additional training...immunisations/sexual health etc thinking I could do further education while waiting....I intend to do these courses regardless.....but they won't allow me to enrol until I am registered with AHPRA *sigh*
9. I noticed on our visa under travel arrangements they advised that IOM (international Organisation for Migration) may be able to provide concessions on flights and organise increased baggage allowance. I am aware that this only applies in certain circumstances. I am just wondering if anyone has used this service and were there fees involved.
10. I contacted ANMAC directly to ask what level my Uk Diploma was assessed at. (qualified 2001) their response: Your qualification has been found equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree which it a level 7. fingers crossed then :-)
11. Hi, I submitted to AHPRA Nov 13 and feel like we are in limbo. My ANMAC states that my diploma (completed 2001) is equivalent to an Australian Bachelor Degree. I don't know if it meets AQF level 7 http://www.aqf.edu.au/aqf/in-detail/aqf-levels/ which would pass or level 6 http://www.aqf.edu.au/aqf/in-detail/aqf-levels/ which would require bridging courses As far as I understand it Diploma nurses are accepted but may require further study before full registration is granted
12. Daft question.... Form 80 is on te list of required docs for this visa. I am unsure wether to include 2 forms (one for me, 1 for my husband) or just a single form for the whole family.
13. Hi, I am gutted it is 10 weeks for a CO. I guess they are still sorting out the holiday backlog :-( I will probably sort of ACRO in march so they are back by the end of April...might have a CO by then
14. It is a pain getting all the documents organised. We made the decision last March after a few years of should we shouldn't we. I requested my transcripts in July, did IELTS in August and got my skills assessment pass in Dec. We were planning to go 190 SS but they seem to have slowed down processing so I picked 189 instead. I am hoping the visa goes through with no problems and really fast :-D but I am dreading my AHPRA application . I have started organising my CV and making sure CPD is in order but I keep hearing how pedantic they are. you have plenty of points, apparently over 70 gets you selected more quickly from EOI. Good luck with your skills assessment
15. I applied for my 189 visa yesterday. Now I am back to sitting about waiting for a CO to be allocated. It all seems to take a long time :-) Are you looking for PR too?
16. Hi. I contacted HR to send a letter stating my employment term, position etc and my ward sister completed a professional reference. There is some overlap of information but the professional reference shows your role/duties etc along with current employment status while the HR letter shows full length of employment with health board. (handy if you have moved wards). hope that helps
17. They must have sent a few invites out on Monday because I got mine too :-) I submitted by visa application and docs today, roll on CO
18. thanks, I didn't put my tourist visa number but did put my old passport details with my maiden name which was used for previous visa. I couldn't access the document list because it crashed/logged me out every time I pressed it. It did let me upload documents though
19. HI, I got my invite 4/2/13 and spent the last couple of days filling and checking it then submitted it today. I am the primary applicant, My EOI was submitted in my married name, I documented my married name as primary applicant, saved it..... I included my maiden name under previous names section ....checked it twice, then submitted and paid. The email and visa application is lising the primary applicant as me.... using my maiden name! bloody stoooopid computer. I have no idea how that got messed up and can't contact anyone until 22:00 to sort it out. I can't access my application on reciept because the system crashes every time. I hope this won't mess up my visa :-( I have uploaded all the docs I could think of....the attachments icon also crashed whenever pressed I hope I have put on everything???

21. Hi, I am a nurse, (since 2001), and hope to move to Australia with my husband and two children, (4 & 6). I have IELTS band 8 and positive skills assessment. We are trying to work out which visa to apply for 189/190 and if sponsored which state to apply too. I have 70 points without sponsorship so could go independent but will I be quicker going sponsored? We are interested in NSW and Victoria but how do I apply and how do I find out which would be best for my occupation/young families? We were initially looking at queensland but they are no longer sponsoring medical nurses. Any help would be appreciated
22. Thanks. I will get my EOI sorted and wait, (hope) I get an invite
23. Hi, We are hoping to get SS but am not sure which comes first...apply for SS or submit EOI?? Originally we wanted Queensland but due to lack of jobs/sponsorship we decided to try another East coast state. Probably NSW! I thought we had to submit an EOI, be invited to apply for sponsorship then apply for a visa. After reading posts on other sites, I am not sure. They seem to say I apply for SS, then if accepted, submit EOI then apply for visa??? Confused . com
