2. Thankyou.....I saw this this morning, we applied RSMS Direct entry. I cannot see any exceptions that apply to us. All so confusing!
3. Thankyou tickled pink. Our application was submitted in October by our MA so we haven't seen anything to click or a drop down box and I don't re-call seeing anything on the forms. Our agent did confirm it is not required from us, I am just trying to help friends and establish why it may be required from them.from what I can gather from you comments it seems occupation relation.
4. thanks rupert, our agent has confirmed it is not required from us. I was just trying to established why they (think) need one and if there is an easy answer to it I.e occupation related maybe.....
5. Seems they presume they have to from reading DIAC. they haven't done it yet. Maybe they should contact an agent.
6. Could it be because they haven't done 2 years on a 457? But even so were in a WHV....confused!
7. Thanks Blossom, im not 100% sure to be honest as I don't think they have an agent so maybe it is just from what they have read or been told from other people. I was just hoping that myself and partner haven't been misinformed and it is required......maybe they are not required to do it?
8. Sorry to jump on the thread but I have a question regarding the RSMS. my partner hasn't been required to do any skills assessment, we are currently in Perth on a working holiday visa. His occupation is business analyst. our friends are required to do skill assessment for the same visa, again they are in Perth, occupation property manager or telecoms. They are currently on a 457 but choose to apply for PR before the 2 years. can any advise the difference for why no skills assessment, is this due to occupation? thank you
9. I could also do with some this advice on this. I'm on a WHV visa which expires on Jan 24th. I'm trying to understand if the BVA automatically kicks in when the WHV expires? We have an application for PR through my partners company which I shall be de-facto. I have been given the opportunity to go back and work for an employer who I worked for on my WHV for 6 months. Does anyone know if I am able to go back and work for them whilst on the BVA? I've also put the question to our MA but thought I'd throw it out there also. My partner being the main applicant applied for an extension to his 6 months restriction which was granted, so I guess I could do this should I need to. My 6 months with them ended on dec 7th. Thanks
10. I have the TRN but it also asks for a password?
11. Thanking you :-) I thought this was the one......guessing I can't track myself if we have an agent?? As it asks for a password.....
12. Hi, does anyone know the link to use to track the process of a visa application. thanks
13. Acknowledgement received on Friday dec 7th.....application submitted in 31st October.
14. No news yet from our side! Application submitted 31st October so would like to hope acknowledgement is received sometime soon!
15. Myself and my partner are in Perth on a WHV and his employer have recently submitted an application for PR on 31st October with the 6 month work limit on WHV expiring 6th November. Letter of extension was submitted on 1st November ( as this has to be after the application has been submitted) and granted the following day. 2 working days prior to him having to finish work! His employer did provide a letter of requirement also. Good luck!
16. Thanks everyone! I thought that was the case but just wanted more clarification. Owen - this letter is similar to the one my partner used for his extension but I was hoping to end my employment after 6 months on the WHV and then go back once my BVA kicks in as this will give me a 6 weeks break over Xmas whilst I have friends and family visiting. Does anyone know if I will still need the letter of extension in this scenario? As I won't be extended on the same visa it will be a new visa Thanks
17. Hi all, Hoping someone can help with my question. My partner and I are currently in Perth on a WHV and have recently applied for RSMS. Our WHV expires in January and our agent has suggested that we shall automatically go onto a bridging visa A. The question I have is, do I get another 6 months work with the bridging visa and can i use this with the employer I am currently with on my WHV? They are willing to keep me on but I am unsure of the rules. I am de-facto on the application. My partner has got an extension to his 6 months but I was hoping to have a few weeks off over Xmas and go back when the bringing visa comes in to effect? My current 6 months ends dec 7th. Thank you all
18. We also had approval for extension to work the day after the request ( our working holiday visa restricts us to 6 months )
19. Ill keep you all posted and jaskiratsingh I'll let you know when our acknowledgement comes through. We have applied through Perth and DRC application. Good luck all
20. Finally have an application lodged.....here goes the wait for CO!
21. The RCB was submitted on 3rd September and approved on 22nd October. It's my partner visas, I shall be de-facto, he is business analyst. Application being submitted tomorrow. Just spoke with our MA and he advised that immi system is unable to differentiate the DRC and non DRC applications and they are therefore scanning through each applications and working through the ones that seem to have all the documents in place.
22. I saw this yesterday on the RSMS timeline post - The timeframes for acknowledgement letters, bridging visas and entry into VEVO are:

Processing Centre Nominations Visas

Parramatta 3 weeks 7 weeks

Melbourne 3 weeks 3 weeks

Perth 1 week 1 week

23. Our agent asked us to compete the 47ES form as the level of detail required now is pretty much on that form or so he advised. We had nomination approval on Tusday and our MA was submitting the application yesterday or Monday.
