  1. Myself and my parntner are both currently going through sponsorship on an RSMS PR Visa and I'll be going de-facto. We've been together since June 2010 but he had he own house in the UK so my name wasn't on the bills, I just payed my own way with shopping and rent so no real evidence of a financial commitment which is what immi like to see, we've got as much evidence together that I'm hoping everything will be ok. We've been in Oz since January on a WHV. We've opened a joint bank account which has all our savings in, our rental agreement and electricity bill in both names, further evidence we have given photos of holidays and our families together, passport stamps, we had 4 statements written each from friends and family and had them certified. Leaving cards and posters from our leaving party and wedding invitations. So it's all a waiting game! Fngers crossed and good luck!
  2. Lol! Interesting...... Anyway if you find a window cleaner let me now, I'm looking for one too! Cheers
  3. I'm here on a WHV and my UK doctors will only supply 6 months worth of one of my prescriptions at a time but do supply a years worth until I sve to visit them for a check up. The doctors here wanted $85 forvanappiintment and then a further $75 every 3 months so I had my sister collected a repeat prescription in UK and postit to me. Not problems at all just arrived in my letter box.
  4. I'm sure it does......I'll have no trust until the visa is granted lol! Great, the employer is able to prove of the workload and ongoing mining projects so that shouldn't be an issue. Luckily for us it's the employers agent and they are paying so I guess I'll have to keep calm and trust!
  5. Saw 'O' at Bellagio Vegas - Amazing but also let jag made me fall asleep....
  6. Thanks! I know his employer keeps saying we must trust the agent and I agree but half the time its like getting blood out of a stone so I do research but then read different to what he's advising! Arrghh! It's gonna be a long stressful wait...... I won't be so bothered if I can't continue to work but he can at least then we still have money coming in. I think the agent did say they would need to write to immi to remove the restriction. Fingers crossed! We'll wait and see. Apparently 6 weeks for the nomination to come back and then submit application so that will only be a couple of weeks until the 6 months is up and I can't see immi having given an answer by then....
  7. Thanks blossom79  I thought this would be the case. Although Our agent has suggested that once an application is submitted that it is possible for immi to allow work past 6 months and he's made it quite clear to us that we need not to worry as he has seen this happen previously. What are your thoughts on this? He suggested it may be an issue for me being secondary applicant but certainly not for my partner the primary sponsor! I'm happy to finish in November for summer and have a few months off as we also have family visiting but I'm confused with the information we are getting and what I read. Also worried my partners employer think it will be no issue and then later find out isn't and cancel the application.......
  8. Hey natalie1985 Im in the same situation but the timescales are not quite as tight. I'm the defacto on my partners RSMS application and our WHV expires in January although our 6 months is up in November. At the minute the RCB has been submitted and we are waiting for it to be approved before our agent can then submit application. I've heard different stories about the bridging visa activating as soon as the application is submitted and also heard it activates at the end of the WHV which makes more sense but would this mean I'll have to finish work in November until January when the bridging visa kicks in..... It's difficult getting info from our agent!!! Hope you get sorted tomorrow and visa approved very soon. How long u been waiting?

    Medicals

Hey, We had our medicals approx 10 days ago and have now received the sealed envelope....question is....does this mean everything is clear/good or could there still be an issue which we won't find out until or application is submitted? Thanks
  11. I'm on a WHV and arrived in Perth in January. It was honestly like going through immigration in the UK after being on holiday. No questions asked, no proof of spend or return flight! None what so ever! Easier than I expected.

Hey, Anybody out there in the process of application for RSMS in Perth?
  14. Awesome! Congrats! Which visa is this for? And what job?
  15. Hi April13 Not yet...we've been advised 4 weeks at least for RCB approval and then the application can be submitted. DRC apparently 5 months minimum, approx 8 months is standard for RSMS due to the July changes. My WHV expires Jan...so possibly will have to go on bridging visa.....
  16. Looks like I've got a long wait! RSMS Subclass 187 (857) Medicals 31st August RCB submitted 3rd September Application to be submitted DRC. Using a MA and application in Perth!
  17. Just seen your busy this weekend so maybe next time. We're from Manchester.
  18. Hi Rich, Fire n ice bar Subiaco station 6.30pm Friday 31st August. All newbies to Perth. I'll be there with my partner (28 & 29)
  19. Hi everyone Perth poms has lots of meet ups for newbies. There is a night out arranged fir Friday in Subiaco
  20. Hi Everyone, Hopefully you guys can help please? My employer is about to start processing my 457 visa with my partner as defacto. However it turns out that her employer has also suggested they can sponsor her on a 457. So the question we have is, can we both have a 457 submitted with us both being a defacto on each others application???? This would be great incase one of us wasn't enjoying the job or company, then we have each other to fall back on. Maybe it is not possible to be on a 457 whilst also a defacto on another application...... I searched the web but can't find any advice, so hoping a perth pom can help. Thanks guys
  21. That's good that you have your accommodation sorted, we really struggled to secure something. Good luck with the packing and fingers crossed for your visa approval.
  22. Good luck, when did you submit the application? Im just wondering how long the process takes. Are you already in Oz?
  23. Cheers.....this gives me some confidence  Has your visa been approved yet? is it also for a 457?
  24. Great thanks...that should make things less stressful!! Time to start gathering all our evidence....
  25. Thanks for all you're help guys! My biggest worry is not having any documentation with both our names on. Luckily we have lots of things we can use to prove our relationship just no financial commitment together. Does anyone know if the de-facto visa is a seperate application to the 457? or is it simply a 2nd applicant on the one application....sorry getting confusing now!! Information overload on the internet....
